Indeed.

And while the 5 year chart might suggest 500p or thereabouts, the small matter of the rescue rights issue, when 3 shares for every one in existence (or somesuch) means it's not a like-for-like comparison.

So give me 90% of NAV (like quite a few other builders with minimal debts) which would be around 54-55p, and I'll be off...

"This really has the potential to be a massive multi-bagger in the long term."

Sadly I suspect that is very much a case of wishful thinking. The extraordinary circumstances of the past in the UK may not be replicated for some 10 to 15 years.

Currently the natural cap for any move higher by TW. will be its Net Asset Value per share or a discount to that value with which the stockmarket feels comfortable. But even with such a constraint it does mean that TW. could prove to be lucrative as a "trading" share as it oscillates in line with broader equity market moves. The move up from October 2010 to March 2011 is a good example. TW. may once more be the archetypal seasonal share with share price moves to reflect its seasonal trading performance.

I sometimes forget why i am in these with the range trading it does however on look at the 5 year chart reminds me where these could be in a few years. This really has the potential to be a massive multi-bagger in the long term.

Looking at that pennet it should break around Christmas. Lets hope the Santa rally helps with a breakout to the upside.

Redrow results today

Steve Morgan, Chairman of Redrow, said:

"Redrow has delivered another robust performance improving both revenue and profitability, in spite of the difficulties facing the homebuilding industry. Through decisive management action, particularly the introduction of the New Heritage Collection, we have been able to increase average selling prices and margins by changing mix and keeping costs under control.

The outlook for the industry remains challenging due to the lack of mortgages, particularly for first time buyers. With five new jobs being created for every new home built, it is strongly in our country's interest to resolve the mortgage issue, which would once again enable the housing industry to provide urgently needed new homes and a major stimulus to the economy.

Redrow has demonstrated over the last two years that we have been able to grow the business substantially by changing Group strategy. The nature of our land acquisitions over recent times will continue to drive the average selling price in an upwards direction. Other than a marked deterioration in the general economy and the housing market in particular, I feel confident that Redrow will make further progress during the current year."

Imastu and Jugears, i am in the same position as the both of you bought in early 2009 and havent made a single trade. Have topped on occasions for a few years time, when hopefully they are worth selling or picking up some reasonable dividends!

What do you call a long period, I only invest money that I don't need,I bought share at 38p & 42p it doesnt worry me that they are at 32 at the moment as the lower they go the more i buy even if they only go up to £1 in the next 5 years (IMHO & experience it will be a lot sooner than that) Its still a better investment than a building society.

Great news, makes TW more robust and raises the hopes of a dividend or share buy back.

£60m total repurchase, assuming enough are offered - there may be more to follow, depending on hot this one goes.

Also nice of TW shareholders to contribute yet more to the country's impoverished banks. RBS are leading on this, and doubtless charging through the nose. I'm sure they will enjoy their bonuses...

Good to see today's set back in the price. It should lead us into wave 3 which is normally the strongest in the 5.

Very strong for a -100 points FTSE down day. Not before time, but a good sign - selling dried up, the b*stards have moved on to other targets.

All builders are looking 'firm' at the moment, hopefully expecting a more relaxed approach from the providers or finannce.
