Dear me, LSE doing the same tomorrow ??

WASHINGTON--Public companies should disclose to shareholders whether they plan to tap coronavirus-related bailout funds from the federal government, the nation's top securities regulator said Tuesday.

Speaking on CNBC, Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Jay Clayton said investors are "thirsting for information" about how the pandemic has affected companies' earnings power and their need for capital. The roughly $2 trillion aid package passed by Congress last month includes tens of billions of dollars for airlines and cargo carriers, $17 billion for businesses deemed critical to national security and almost $350 billion for small businesses that need financial aid to stay alive.

The need for bailout money or other sources of cash is "sensitive information," Mr. Clayton said. "I encourage companies to get out there [and] disclose where they stand" in order to limit speculation about the companies' plans.

bricky,

You are in deep denial and sounding very desperate. Your shorts are late to the game, you've missed the main event in Feb-March. In a world of shorters, you are a complete rookie. Now your shorts are bleeding your account dry. One must know when its time to call it a day - close that short boy, its the best way to retrieve what little you have left.

This crash will be different to previous crashes because the printing presses and endless amounts of stimulus are available. TW. is well placed, when the printing presses are in full flow, what do you think happens to asset prices, including land/houses?

Not exactly sure why the loons have been buying today.

I believe, they think, all is normal.

They thought the same, in the weeks after the 1929 WALL ST crash.

They then waited, no less than 25 years, to get their money back.

U.K. consumer confidence plummeted in the last two weeks of March in the biggest drop ever recorded as the nation entered a state of lockdown in an attempt to slow the rapid spread of the coronavirus.

An index of consumer confidence gathered by market research firm GfK fell by 25 points to minus 34. It was the index's lowest reading since February 2009 and the biggest single drop in the index's history, which stretches back as far as 1974.

Not sure this is going one way yet, much will depend on how USA copes, they have yet to peek and I think their death count will get scary. It lags thier cv19 positives by a number of days just like everywhere else. Impressive gains the last 2 days mind.

bricky,

You're sounding desperate. Just close that short and you might retrieve some funds. Put it down to learning. Your timing was well off for the short.
