According to Bloomberg, it appears Raven and Cooke bought shares last week in a pre-arranged trade from a large, long-standing shareholder.

This is hardly an act of confidence, but a further sign of shareholder desperation with management. The only way shares can trade higher is with their long-overdue departure.

If we can sort out the corporate governance side, as I say, this should be 3p anyday of the week......

@BB_Econ interesting thoughts, I would be interested in speaking off this forum about this. Will send you a direct message.

How it is possible that Raven and Cooke can buy shares on an off market deal when they have been speaking to a number of the larger shareholders to negotiate changes to the long-term incentive plan?

For this not to be considered insider trading the long-term incentive plan must have been shelved. Good news for shareholders?

£12k each is less than half of their benefits in kind a year... if you want to inspire confidence stick you yearly comp on it!

This price is too low for some pedestrian purchases to inspire anything.

That is maybe but look at the combined resulting positions, still shows confidence.....

Directors purchase no big deal though about £12k each??

Nice to see the director purchase this morning, must have been the volume we were talking about.........

Regarding volume 1.5m traded on the bid side of the market which is not good news for shareholders.

As for AUM, Bloomberg does not lie and the latest figure is around the 975m mark. Go figure.

I guess there are other, 'traditional' discretionary/advisory portfolios...

They stated £1.1bn at results but as I say market has been on fire since then.......

I agree with you about the need for more shareholder intervention, this is gone too far. However, I still can't get my head around your AUM number.

According to Bloomberg, the 10 Acumen funds have circa £975 million of total assets. Where is the other £300m coming from... have they been overstating funds under management by roughly 25%?

Would be great to get some thoughts on this.

Still hoping that the Hugh Simon link can deliver a decent acquisition..last AUM was at end of September as well, so maybe closer to £1.3bn all for less than £10m market cap..........

Tom you must mean “Donkeys never change their spots”.

They will never survive an EGM. It’s time to call in the regulators. FYI I speak for circa 1% of Tavistock.

Leopards never change their spots.

Raven and Cooke have misled shareholders and run the company into the ground. It’s clear that the only proposal that will be acceptable to shareholders is their resignations.

They have done it before so they can do it again, it’s time to walk the walk!

I still think this is majorly the wrong price, should be closer to 3p with the right market vibes about it........

Its gone very quiet. I would have expected a further RNS from the board with their intentions. A second proposal that didn't get backing would surely make their positions untenable? I half expected to see they had resigned, to save face a little.

What do you think?

The FUM growth when created within the business is important to the share price.
Previous growth to FUM were done through purchases via creations of shares and dilutions of the share price. Exactly what would have been voted down.

So if organic growth within the business is made, and outgoings are cut, the profit increases.
If the increase of FUM is externally made, the past form has been dilutions, hence the reduction.
My understanding anyway.
Anyway; that’s all folks

If I call the Tavistock HQ what extension should I ask for to reach you Mr. makeamillion3?

The performance of the investments is irrelevant clearly as the share price was trading higher when the company had £50m under management. Assuming you are right, AUM should be sitting at an all-time high whilst the share price still stands at a near an all-time low.

You appear to be confused once again... the performance of the Tavistock share price and the performance of the Tavistock's portfolios are not related in this case. This forum relates to the share price. If you have a company that is trading at 6p with £50m of AUM and 1.3p with £1Bn of AUM, the problem is not the investment performance, it lies in something else. In my opinion, this is a management problem, in your opinion, it may be bugs bunny.. Who knows.

Be careful Chris: that’s a positive comment on here. You will get hammered....
I have an ISA in the tavistock 6 (balanced) portfolio and the 12 months return is now showing over 6%. Decent performance in my opinion. I tried to explain this about their better fund performance before and got hammered for it. But the actual fund performance has done better than expected and I’m glad I left it and gave the new fund manager a chance as I was close to transferring out.
Based on my own portfolio, I completely agree. The overall funds should have increased across the group well.

FTSE now nearly 6,900, AUM should be moving well here, with a resolution to the AGM, a half decent trading update and an acquistion................we are clearly the wrong price.......multi bagger territory....
