How do you work that out Geoff? They may be 1p shares but I thought that the exercise price was 5.25p? Not exactly in-the-money then aye?

2 Directors have over 80m shares between them and using their options they can buy at 1p. Options are supposed to be an incentive but it appears these were 'in the money' before they did anything. Feathering their own nests ?

I also bought some more as I think the support from the insiders is enough to confirm that the value is too cheap !!

Announcement out in Tavi confirming the placing has been completed.
Interesting to see the split of the shares....42m out of 70m taken up by either Management or major holders...means they have been put into good hands.
Volume of nearly 3m traded so far today so hopefully a lot of the worried holders are out.

As this is so illiquid, the indigestion will take a while to work through.
Once things calm down, I would expect a steadier ship...the lack of liquidity is an issue full stop, and we really could do with more exposure; after all, it's a rarity, an AIM company with an income and a plan!

All seems sensible but the discount and non-availability to existing shareholders is a bit disappointing.
Reading the trading update, I am encouraged by the promise of dividends (one day), and they are a sensible business that will probably be swallowed-up by a bigger operator on a longer-term basis (imho).
At 3p, they look good value to me.

Tavistock Investments Plc ("Tavistock" or the "Company") today announces its intention to raise up to GBP2.1 million (before expenses) by way of a placing (the "Placing") and subscription (the "Subscription") of up to 70,000,000 new Ordinary Shares of 1p each (the "Placing and Subscription Shares") with certain institutional and other investors. It is intended that the price at which all new ordinary shares are to be issued (the "Placing and Subscription Price") will be at or around 3 pence per new ordinary share. The Placing and Subscription is not being underwritten.
The Placing and Subscription, which will be undertaken within the Company's existing share authorities, will be conducted by way of an accelerated bookbuild ("Bookbuild"), which will be launched immediately following this announcement. New research (11 April) from WH Ireland sets a target price of 13.5p. Most interesting part is the comparison with newcomer Harwood Wealth which is 25%-40% the size of Tavistock but 3x the market value!
