16% dilution is being priced in from 75M new shares issued to Huber 15.11.2024, now we just have to wait for those synergies to emerge in the results, it will take a year for those to filter through then we can look forward to growth in EPS/DPS.. :o)

I'm really shocked at the dilution and lack of impact from CP. All the while tate wants its valuation to go up.I see synergies, already low, disappointing from here and concerns about growth building.600p back in the front window.

Looks like a long March back down now for tate after the FT puff piece has turned out to be garbage. The dilution from CP deal looks butt ugly for new couple of years.

Quite a lot in today's HY report, not about any speculation of course but some good lines.

I agree, it was a bit of a strange article but the fact that two main sources both had bid stories plus its held up around 12% above the pre-story price would suggest there is something going on.

potential acquirer often feeds the media in an attempt to force shareholders to put pressure on the management to engage in talks or accept a bid. in the age of short-termism its a tool that yields results especially if underlying share price has been underperforming.

Yep, it's a weird old investing world. I think it's funny that most uk based investors have practically given-up on the uk market and would rather put their money in the US particularly the mag 7 stocks.

These same investors fail to see the opportunities we have here like TATE a world leading food science company. Whereas American investors do see the opportunity and want it for their own. Isn't it ironic..

For that reason i rather hope this doesn't get taken-out. It was a bit of a strange article in the FT a few days ago. One wonders how that came about and where that news came from.

Advent PE is a US PE business. They’re all on the lookout for any successful but undervalued business they can milk that we’ve got, because we have no protection.

Apparently One of them got Morrisons for roughly the value of its real estate, so the business is in for free. Still pretending to be British.

And we wonder why we’re nationally short of money. Its the steady flow of profits to the US, as well as all the other factors

Its just we don’t mention it.

McDonalds only source drinks from US businesses, not UK.

Who cares when you can get “exclusiveR21; offers on Prime, with the other 200mln members and have them delivered tomorrow morning, cos you need instant gratification.

Interesting buy at the close; 1.1 Million @ 786.5p

Also significant increase in the buyback amounts in the last week, 1.4 million already along with today's buys announced in a hour or so, compared with 1 million last week
I thought that buybacks were set up to not buy if the price rose too sharply , to avoid manipulation , yet they have accelerated despite the price rise. I don't think the company brokers are supposed to be privy to any information about potential bids , so why are they buying more?

This deal will not happen as TATE are far too down the line with the recent acquision

I'm not, they are busy on this and the only they could say is , nothing to see here. The fact they haven't is because they are probably finalising a decent offer.

Having lost BVIC and SMDS this year already, a 3rd is a surprise, but it is what it is, there will be a decent profit in it IF holders sell into the spike on an offer RNS..

How do Advent typically do their buyouts..? would it have to be be all cash or do they put up their shares being private equity..?

Interesting to see how this plays out. Some move yesterday but over 900p should get this deal done imo.

#Nash19, Huber will become a long-term shareholder c16% in Tate & Lyle following the CP Kelco completion. The potential for Huber to become a long-term shareholder and participate in the future value creation from the combination of the two businesses was central to unlocking a transaction.

A great start for them too.. :o)

See what the week brings in terms of an offer RNS (or not) from Advent..

It is unconditional and CP Kelco now own 20+ % and would only be delighted to see their investment already be returned with a premium.
