04/2/2021 10:45 | Must be about time for the Scheme Document to be published setting out the remaining timeline to completion. Precious little sign of counter-bidders so far, but publication of the SD will give any would-be bidders a clearer view of significant dates. | 1gw
22/1/2021 11:16 | Have to let karma takes it course! | shaker44
22/1/2021 10:35 | Thanks Shaker44. When is enough for these very wealthy majority shareholders. Their greed is palpable, what's the difference between 500m and 550m, it still wouldn't save them from death in a COVID ward! | 1224saj
22/1/2021 10:03 | I am still holding, hoping for a better exit. Not surprised brokers advise that too. Value of talk talk going up | shaker44
22/1/2021 09:59 | PO, have you sold your shares or are you still holding? I'm being advised to hold by my broker? | 1224saj
20/1/2021 16:50 | QP, oh dear? | 1224saj
29/12/2020 11:59 | Legalised theft, no doubt about that. What is surprising is the blatant openness of it all - no qualms about ripping pis off whatsoever. Rejecting a higher bid then soon after buying it much cheaper than the rejected offer must breach some regulations or laws somewhere I would have thought. The thing is, actions like this are probably admired by the city and they'll have cash thrown at them to do it all. It's capitalism gone too far imv. | pierre oreilly
29/12/2020 11:08 | He totally missed it. Just look back at the director purchases a few months ago. This was always their strategy. Sell it cheap, stay on board, refloat a couple of years out. Screw Pi's-regulator toothless. Just donate again to BoJo. Job done | shaker44
29/12/2020 10:50 | Brummer missing the point there that Dunstone et al are in bed with the mauling hedge fund, keeping their stake in TalkTalk even as it leaves the stock market. | squeamish1
19/12/2020 18:57 | Article in daily mail by Alex Brummer city editor: “Given talk talks relatively good pandemic and the considerable amount of equity and debt raising that has been possible during the crisis for firms across all sectors it is hard not to think that a viable challenger to the dead hand of BT could not have won the backing of investors” “Dunstone, Tristia Harrison and the board needed to show more spine and ambition. Allowing the company to be mauled by a buccaneering hedge fund looks to be all wrong” | paulo435
18/12/2020 18:18 | Well after yesterday's news (so with hindsight) I took the opportunity to catch up on 300 or so of this boards posts... I bailed out over £1 some while ago. I thought these "old" posts were rather prescient "Septimus Quaid 22 Jun '20 - 09:51 - 3191 of 3444 hard to know where this is leading to, another 5% of the vote between them and the big three can collaborate and vote through anything they want (even a low-ball offer to take the company private)? bookbroker 26 Jun '20 - 13:03 - 3211 of 3444 So Tosca buying more, one assumes from the Welsh farmer, but is this a takeover by stealth, or protecting their investment! 1224saj 17 Jul '20 - 16:02 - 3236 of 3445 Book, that could be a possibility with Tosca. Think about it, they short the stock off market, take the price down and make some margin on the leverage to balance the loss on their equity. Become visible with a huge buy order to take them over 30% and make an offer at say 40% above today’s close at 1.05. Clearly that would result in a paper loss on their historic averages, but gives them control???" Unfortunately it looks like you nailed it guys..... | fenners66
18/12/2020 12:14 | It does look like an embryonic spoiler. 97p is way too cheap but it will take a lot of mopping up to build a position now. Hard to work out what game buyer(s) are playing | shaker44
18/12/2020 12:00 | FTP, likewise. But as I know Dunstone, I'm staying in and he'd better not screw me. After all a dividend is equal to all shareholders even if they try a dilution and load the company with more debt. I see this coming back to mkt in less than 3 years. This all assuming they get this across the 75%. Looking at the buys this morning at 1.00 would suggest there's another game somewhere?? | 1224saj
18/12/2020 08:52 | Would the board/Dunstone have accepted the offer if they were just being offered 97p as opposed to stake in the new Co? I don't think so. This is not the first time I have been fleeced by directors who are acting in thier y own interests and not the shareholders. | feelthepain
17/12/2020 18:20 | Blobby, PI' have nothing to lose by holding on until March to see when the market takes the price. 97p is in the bag, so no downside unless you need your money today. The half year results were good and TT will get better. I've worked in Telecoms for 30 years, trust me | 1224saj
17/12/2020 17:59 | The trouble is, who is going to risk being a minority shareholder with Tosca with their investment. This deal stinks. I've given up hope of a better deal though and sold today. | blobby
17/12/2020 16:20 | Tosca cannot legally buy in the market for more than 97p without raising their offer - so unlikely to be them | janhar
17/12/2020 11:46 | Hopefully it's a white knight buying hoping to get a 1.5bn company for 1.1bn. This episode really is the downside of capitalism. Basically legalised theft. If talk wasn't worth much more than the current offer, then the current offer wouldn't have been made. That is always the case i suppose, but not to this extent of ripoff. | pierre oreilly
17/12/2020 11:07 | Could it be tosca buying today? In order for the buyout to be effective 75% need to approve. As tosca have 30% already and Dunstone has 30% then if they buy another 15% on the open market they can sew this up long before Feb. | paa65 |
