Frenchfry this is just the base camp level! I know that the three readers of this thread will be bored of my ranting about how undervalued SyQic is but it should be double this price. i don't expect this to happen in the short term and so am extremely happy with the steady climb up. It's not raced away from the moving averages and the RSI isn't crazy. Realistically £1.25 by end of march optimistically £1.50The final results are due out end of March early April so that could create some fireworks if we get updated subscriber numbers.Nice steady increase this week - time to enjoy the great weather and have first beer outside this year!Have a good weekend you syqics

Looks like somebody today had to pay 3p above the offer for 25000 / if the stock is that illiquid then in this sort of market we could soon see 150 or more. Will be interesting to see price action tomorrow.

I sold over 50k on Thursday and Friday having bought in between 60p and 66p.
Very happy to take profit but probably sold too soon. Itchy finger. Still concerned that it seems too good to be true. Hopefully not for those still in. 130p is forecast soon.GLA

Hello

Just started looking at this and appears interesting. Great thing is the guidance which they've given which suggests that turnover for Fy13 should be somewhere around £5.5m (based on H2 this year being almost double last year's H2). But can someone hepl me with the likely gross margin?

Fy11 and Fy12 gross margin was in the 55%-60% region however H1 ballooned to 81% - i assume that this was an anomoly and resulted from the turnover being much smaller, so the off higher margin contract can skew things.

Looking forward, what do people thing Fy14 EPS might end up as? Looks to be that 8p - 10p should be achieveable. Other views?
Thanks

Adam

Call me SyQic! Seriously though it's AIM so will be a volatile and unpredictable ride but really believe the fundamentals discussed in previous posts means this share will continues to attract buyers until we get to more realistic P/E. Was a 5 bragger, then a 4 so if your still watching don't miss out on the 3 bragger!

Healthy little retrace (some shorttermers taking some profit - you have little faith!) now it's ticking up nicely again with decent volume. Breaking the £1 is on for this week.

Thanks again for the assistance. I must admit, cashflow and payment issues have put me off for now. There are a lot of positives, nonetheless. Best of luck to holders.

As it happened, I spotted another high growth story with no apparent cashflow issues with a "significantly ahead" trading update this morning: JQW.

That has ended up filling the speculative position in my portfolio. Chinese, but might be worth a look.

Saucepan - you would read the paragraphs on page 24 Especially the one after exhibit 9 table. It confirms its the old business model.

Saucepan,See the bottom of page 23 on the following link.hTTp://www.allenbycapital.com/research/syqic041213.pdfIts the older business which use to sell content to broadcasters i believe. they still do this but with the launch of yoonic which get revenue from subscribers to the content directly now it reduces the company exposure to a few big clients. This debt is getting paid now.

Hello regulars.

I have been researching SYQ this weekend. There is a lot that looks attractive: especally turnover, profit and eps growth patterns - achieved and forecast.

What is currently vexing me is the negative cashflow for 2010, 2011 and 2012 (shown in ShareScope). That does not seem to square with the headline figures.

Would anyone care to comment on or explain this? Thanks.

Aishah - Have you looked at the basis of Allenby forecast for 2014 earnings? The link is in my earlier post. They flatlined earnings that have already been shown to be too low on the basis they hit the q4 numbers (which were as much as q1+q2+q3 added together). They were very conservative when pricing the IPO which was done just after the launch of a new product that was seeing subscription numbers go up 50-120% month on month. They played it safe - and have quickly been shown to have under estimated growth. The Allenby note will be significantly increased after the full results.Anyway, you're on board the SYQ journey and in at a good level but I don't think it will be long before your faced with the decision to hold or get out at £1.42
