20/5/2022 18:24 | Or they could be waiting for the ex-dividend drop! | grahamburn
20/5/2022 16:10 | I can't think that there are many sellers leading up to 1st June, if they want the 21.3p dividend in the bag, I know price will drop dividend amount, but nice to have in the ISA bag tax free, but hey who know. Good weekend all. | montyhedge
20/5/2022 11:43 | Tuvart. I agree. £5 or £6 share price I did manage to pick up a few yesterday at just under 2.95. I think it did hit a low of sub 2.90 briefly or maybe 2.92. Anyway, today is very different. This market is really tough. Got some bargains yesterday but just didn't have much spare cash. Always the way | rogerramjett
20/5/2022 08:02 | That's was a gift from the stockmarket gods yesterday, missed picking up a few, golfing. In theory should have a great run to 1st June ex div date. | montyhedge
18/5/2022 12:19 | One thing that there is a trend is the price of chemicals follow in most cases the price of oil and SYNT will just increase profit pro-rata, I just can't wait to read the interim accounts because I think we are sat on a £5 possible £6 share price here, it's always hard to picture when the share price is here. | turvart
18/5/2022 09:37 | Inflation figure 9%, you need companies with pricing power and Synt have that. Also helps investors to find companies with inflation matching dividends very rare to find, we are ok above inflation dividend for us boys. | montyhedge
17/5/2022 21:29 | The US tends to get the latest variant some time after Europe. The vaccination levels will be completely different due to political allegiances and the misinformation that gets soaked up. We even had a spike very recently which has died down. Depends what variant it is and whether it is a new mutation as to whether it could be serious but nothing has been highlighted here but it is never mentioned in the news anymore. | scrwal
17/5/2022 16:00 | I know good for Synthomer, but we don't want this creeping back. Surprised it's happening in spring.10 minutes ago.https://abc7ny.c | montyhedge
17/5/2022 14:17 | See Blackrock had to top slice a few, unless a short need some stock and borrowed from Blackrock. | montyhedge
17/5/2022 10:08 | If price gets to a new trading range 345p - 355p before 1st June, then falls in line with ex dividend say 21p -22p.I think everyone happy, momentum traders, value investors, income investors, short term traders, the only ones not happy bears. | montyhedge
17/5/2022 09:56 | That's the exact opposite of a momentum trader monty. | al101uk
17/5/2022 09:36 | Well it looks like momentum traders are coming in, the thinking I suppose they are cheap anyway, in theory more buyers than sellers leading up to 1st June, perhaps 350p, it's all probability. | montyhedge
17/5/2022 09:20 | I'll limit future posts to one liners and forecasts of what momentum traders might do. | al101uk
17/5/2022 09:16 | "if less than that we get a bigger dividend next time." No we don't. | al101uk
17/5/2022 09:06 | Have you emailed investor relations to find out what colour socks CEO wearing today.Lol, only joking. | montyhedge
17/5/2022 08:53 | If the momentum traders come in could we push to 340p before 1st June ex div date. I can't think many sellers before 1st June, I know the dividend in my ISA bag. | montyhedge
17/5/2022 08:04 | Wonder if my forecast and charts are right, 325p to 330p before ex div date, goes ex div drops 21p to 22p. But still above 300p with the dividend in the bag. | montyhedge
17/5/2022 07:58 | Yes all in the price, if less than that we get a bigger dividend next time. | montyhedge
17/5/2022 07:45 | A little. I saw this; During 2018, the European Commission initiated an investigation into practices relating to the purchase of Styrene monomer by several companies, including Synthomer, operating in the European Economic Area. The Company has and will continue to fully cooperate with the Commission during its investigation. Based on the information available and the resulting assessment of the expected outcome of the investigation a provision of GBP57.2 million has been made in relation to this case. I am reading this as dealt with. fingers crossed. | robsy2
17/5/2022 07:27 | Regarding the monies set aside for a possible (probable?) fine out of the EU's styrene investigation, I find it curious that the latest annual report makes no attempt to argue that a fine isn't appropriate. Has anyone dug deeper into this? | smidge21
17/5/2022 06:04 | Mine's more simple than that RC. PE, Dividend Cover, dividend yield, Can tell a fair bit from these metrics alone. If I'm comfortable with these I take a starter position. Then carry out further research before going in further. | rogerramjett
16/5/2022 23:28 | Agreed Robsy2, cheers, also Tuvart, thanks. Monty, OK. | al101uk
16/5/2022 21:09 | Thanks 101 for sharing your thoughts. We look set fair here for a profitable next few years. This looks like a good recovery stock. 12% divis over the next 15 months or so,the share price will respond i think. | robsy2
16/5/2022 20:51 | If your thinking about buying great, do everything you can to analyse the stock. But you bought them and your still analysing the stock. You must be a nervous investor. | montyhedge |
