Weak pound helping profits from the new acquisition, dollar earner, then converted back into pounds. Talk of $1.20 to the pound coming.

Glad to see you hold, RC. There has been a huge fall from 2021, forming a large "V" shape. Assuming the business finds its way through, these Vs often turn into "W's".
Didn't see anything there about the dividend, did you, though I'm assuming they jump that hurdle when they come to it. But this did not look like a warning, particularly in respect of margin growth, and 'management of the inflationary environment'. Those are precisely the kinds of companies that the market is currently looking for, wouldn't you say?

FY expectations unchanged

Whilst macroeconomic conditions remain uncertain, we are encouraged by the underlying trading conditions and a strong Q1 performance with continued margin growth reflecting our ability to successfully manage the inflationary environment.

Accordingly, our full year outlook is unchanged. T he Board remains confident that the benefits of recent acquisitions, continued investment in new capacity and our proven growth strategy will underpin sustainable profit growth in the coming years.

I am a holder and of course that is a positive statement, but within the statement is an acknowledgement of the fact that they had a massive COVID boost in one area that will not be replicated.

In which case... Might be looking highly oversold on expectations of bad news. Possible gap up to £4 from this January?

Of course no one knows where the shareprice going. But one thing weak pound against the dollar, I would have thought boost profits from the US acquisition when converted to pounds.

Who knows, but I was encouraged with a director spending 614,000 pounds of his own money at 275p.He may well be able to afford it of course, but no one throws 614,000 pounds away. He knows the company better than some young analyst, I'll back a director over a analyst in this case.

monty...... think you can forget the 11% yield going forward given the inevitable drop in profits and cash in the current year, though hope I'm wrong.

There is absolutely no way the current dividend is being held.

It most likely will be halved.

This has been discussed - I don't suppose they will be holding the dividend at historic levels.

Well a director bought 614,000 pound's worth of stock at 275p in March. I'm sure they know the company better than a analyst at HSBC who said hold target 310p, 11% dividend is temping.

If there's a problem it hasn't been flagged up by Stocko's screens, where it passes no fewer than 8. Though can't say I'm please by the decline in value, ,where I'm now down 13% on my buy in!
