19/1/2004 15:39 | Hello Slim, I'd say 400p was an aggressive target. Usually I don't like buying stocks if they trade at 30times current earnings. 30 times rolling EPS is 30*11.52=345p However, as pointed out above the new contract alone adds double digits to the tunover, and we can expect further significant growth fom the second contract-detail announced later this year. Not the time to be selling. | shuisky
13/1/2004 12:04 | Hi Shuisky, thanks for the figures. that makes SYR even more attracive than I realised and strengthens the bullish scenario. Do you think 400p is a realistic target for this year ? | slim 333
13/1/2004 08:06 | Hi slim, the rolling adjusted diluted EPS = 11.52p, which means the rolling PER=262/11.52= 22.7 Interimn to interim EPS growth was 55% (adjusted diluted) . Let's take your figure of 25% eps growth, this translates to a PEG of 22.7/25%=.9 That's cheap. I appreciate punters want to take profits-it's natural, but investors should not lose perspective here. This has got far further to run. | shuisky
12/1/2004 19:00 | Although it did recover from an intra-day low of 250p. Is SYR an example of a company that appears expensive (PE = 35) AND has risen too fast ? (more than doubled in 12 months). Making some assumptions, however, if eps grows by 25 % this current year, the PE falls to 28. If, as a true growth company should, earnings growth is sustainable at this level (possible with new contracts being signed), then the PEG BECOMES A MUCH MORE ATTRACTIVE 1.12. This implies that SYR has much further to run. My target is 400p by end of 2004. Am I being wildly optimistic ? | slim 333
12/1/2004 17:53 | I've no idea why people sold SYR this morning. Looked like a series of small retail sellers trying to get clever and 'sell on the news'. The fundamentals are still in place for strong growth, the co is winning contracts and how many companies fall 5% when they claim that they are exceeding management expectations? Bizarre. | shuisky
12/1/2004 16:43 | This new contract increases annual revenue by 16 % p.a. Surely this will be followed by others and should lead to a rerating soon ! | slim 333
12/1/2004 12:33 | Why is Synergy down five pct having just announced a big new contract and been tipped in two Sundays. | hitchinhoncho
12/9/2003 19:29 | The story still looks good. Just needs some positive news. | hitchinhoncho

09/9/2003 22:21 | Thanks TDay - I thought the same. Despite weakness though, still the sells keep coming. Last trade of the day looks like it could have been another large sell (50K at 206p). Starting to go a bit weak at the knees!! | farend
09/9/2003 10:48 | The trading statement at the AGM about eight weeks ago was pretty upbeat. Perhaps it's the MM's trying to flush out some weak holders? | tday
07/9/2003 00:08 | Any views on why the price is so volatile? It's a bit of a concern when the price gets knocked back so quickly. Anybody have any more news of when this one may be entering the main market? | farend
02/9/2003 14:08 | If it comes back any further, it will be a good opportunity to top up. | tday
13/8/2003 23:17 | Not aware of any bad news in the pipeline. Next 6 months could be interesting. | polk
12/8/2003 08:54 | It rose on low volume over last few weeks - now sinking on the same sort of selling. | shamster
12/8/2003 08:38 | Is this a natural retracement, or is there bad news coming shortly? | tday
06/8/2003 00:57 | SYR was picked today by the Robot Stock Picker for tomorrow's trading. See what is said about it. | haystack
28/7/2003 14:16 | Quite a few small buys today. Does anyone know if it was tipped anywhere at the weekend? | towed in the hole
