The 'pretentious' name was nothing to do with me; it's what ADVFN call it. And the reason to join is research and comment which is second to none. Oh and some somewhat dubious banter! The real benefit is that everyone is polite and reasonable and there is no trolling. All views are welcome positive and negative....

Hi Nobbygnome,

I have not posted nor invested in any stocks for some 8 or 9 years! However, I have now taken early retirement and I am getting back to stock investing to (hopefully) boost my pension!

My best performer back in the day was GKP and I hope that I have found another in SNG. I have been reading this thread with interest but fear that I am missing out on some quality posts by not being a member of your "Guild".

Please may I join?

To be clear I do not stop anyone joining the Guild unless I have a specific reason from past history. Anyway I can expel anyone who causes trouble once they are in. So far although I have issued 4 or 5 warnings no-one has been expelled.
