Depending on Trump (if he mentions Synairgen by name before monday, news before market opens and Sunday press you may be topping up above £4.

Would actually not suprise me to see the shares suspended because of a bidding war RNS.

The world needs millions of doses of sngoo1 and the world will pay top dollar for it. £2 billion is not unreasonable take out price which would be roughly £12 per share.

I think the biggest hint so far when Richard said the 500% rise was "reasonable"

Exciting times!

From IC.Positive trial results for an experimental Covid-19 medicine "could signal a major breakthrough" in the treatment of the disease, according to micro-cap Synairgen (SNG). The biotech company has been monitoring the effects of SNG001, its wholly-owned inhaled formulation of the drug 'interferon beta', in hospitalised coronavirus patients. Data so far suggests that the odds of developing severe disease, requiring ventilation, were reduced by 79 per cent for those receiving SNG001, compared with those given a placebo product, although the findings are yet to be peer reviewed. Synairgen said that patients who received SNG001 were more than twice as likely to recover over the course of the treatment, and the measure of breathlessness was "markedly reduced".Interferon beta is a naturally occurring antiviral protein, already approved for use as a drug in an injectable form. But Tom Wilkinson, professor of respiratory medicine at the University of Southampton and Trial Chief Investigator, said the new trial results "confirm our belief" that it has "huge potential as an inhaled drug to be able to restore the lung's immune response, enhancing protection, accelerating recovery and countering the impact of SARS-CoV-2 virus [Covid-19]". Synairgen's treatment is delivered in high concentration, directly to the lungs via a nebuliser – a machine allowing patients to breathe in a medicine.Synairgen's trial was relatively small, involving just 101 patients. Further investigation is required and the group is working with regulators and other bodies to take the next steps for its unapproved treatment. Chief executive Richard Marsden says "we are poised to sprint" with follow-on clinical trials once the analysis has been completed and discussions have been had with the relevant agencies.House broker FinnCap does not foresee any revenues for 2020, noting that it is almost impossible to value the Covid-19 opportunity, but the broker believes that discussions with regulators could "clarify the route to market and the potential for buying SNG001 ahead of the winter 2020 flu season". Looking further ahead, Mr Marsden notes that "every 10 years it seems we've had the emergence of a coronavirus", while "every couple of years we hear about a new flu strain". If this treatment continues to produce good data, he says "it is possible that governments might want to have a stockpile of this sort of drug" which could be given to healthcare workers and others who have been exposed. "There are plenty of ways this drug could be progressed beyond coronavirus". Shares in Synairgen surged following the encouraging update, but, like other therapies in development, it is impossible to ascribe a meaningful valuation until that route to market becomes clear.

There may be a placing but I think it's more likely they'll be Licensing deals or a TO. One step at a time. Conditional Approval news would be great. It's a drug that is needed now as a matter of urgency so I suspect we'll have news next week.

Jane, not heard anything about there being an issue. What's the source as it sounds like a touch of deramping from whomever. I did however notice that in two separate photos, supposedly using SNG, they had two different forms of nebuliser in use.

as a happy long term shareholder I have a couple of questions to the experts on the forum ,I think this may have been mentioned before but has anybody heard whether there might be an issue with the nebuliser used in the trial and that SNG has to find a cheaper/another one that may not perform in the same way and secondly is there any info on Apilimod , the anti osteporosis repurposed for Covid drug mentioned in the media today?
