Nobby > Thanks, I've just popped into the Guild thread to see the full explanation and it helped a lot.

I didn't realise understanding and solving (the Rubik's cube of the primary endpoints) was in process there simultaneously.

SPQStrader > If you haven't already you really should join the SNG Guild thread.

Great understanding and insight discussed in a balanced way there.

If you don't have a coin then ask Nobby for a coin and he will admit you to it.

Essentially you are both correct. I have just posted the explanation on the Guild thread....

Seems to me it is for the regulator to decide whether end points met (and is not for SNG to do so) based on the data and SNG needs to show/and is showing the signals, which obviously look massively positive.

Thanks Nobby, I do have a PhD...!Change in ordinal scale as defined by WHO (scale 1-8). This can then be analyzed in a variety of ways. Median and percentiles is one way although one disadvantage of ordinal data is that it doesn't have a standardized interval scale ie scale 8 death is only 1 scale away from 7 but a far worse outcome so just having a median change presented may not be ideal. It really depends on what data they output as to how best to present the results to get significant results and more importantly clinically relevant results

But what change?

From my understanding of it, they defined 'clinical recovery' as a binary outcome in the reported results as 'free of breathless Symptoms" and 'virological signs of COVID-free infection' along those lines.

Nobby correct me if I'm wrong as agree people need to understand. Primary endpoint is the change in ordinal scale of clinical improvement by day 28 between treatment vs placeboThe fact that the odds of clinical recovery were significantly better by day 28 as reported in the recent results bodes well doesn't it?
