20/3/2019 14:05 | neilrr like your comment "lifestyle and feathering company" do you think these overpaid BoDs will take a remuneration cut for 2018? £551k (2017) £565k (2016) £801k (2015 - M.Stephens - Technical Director was still on the payroll). I would have liked to see less than £500k (which is still too much) what do you think. Based on these 3 greedy directors the Chairman is underpaid at £16k per annum amounting to £1330 per month compared to the useless VC/CD at £200k. | robertnash2

20/3/2019 09:41 | Normally when results are issued there are several bloggers commenting. Obviously there is no interest in the lousy results and in this company. Very sad state of affairs maybe the CEO and Vice Chairman should step down and pave the way for more capable replacements. | robertnash2

10/1/2019 11:39 | Nevertheless, it's all grist to the mill and raises the whole subject of recycling again - all good publicity and PR for SYM. Fantastic value down here! | philjeans
08/1/2019 14:07 | Jailbird an interesting subject...Symphony were at the forefront of this technology in 2007 unfortunately due to the wisdom of one individual it went nowhere. A real shame as The Rupert Project would have been more efficient. | robertnash2

08/1/2019 09:16 | The Co-op battles single-use plastic with compostable bag. The bags can be turned into peat-free compost along with the household food waste, and are approved for home composting. They are priced at the same price as the conventional single-use plastic bag being replaced. Shoppers - who forget their bag-for-life - can use the compostable bags to carry shopping home. The carriers then have a secondary use as food waste caddy liners and are initially available in communities where the local authority accepts them as part of household food waste collections. Iain Ferguson, environment manager, Co-op, said: "The bags are carefully designed to help local authorities with food waste recycling and, reduce plastic contamination in a targeted way. Reducing the environmental impact of our products and eliminating single-use plastic is a priority, we welcome measures designed to make recycling simpler." | dipso

10/12/2018 15:50 | Heard an item on Radio4 today about Walkers Crisps and how to deal with the bags (they sell millions). Recycling was discussed but an interesting part was when the Walkers rep mentioned that they were looking at making them bio-degradable and it was an 8 year project. What struck me was why. Where are Symphony if they already have a solution. Do they have a solution? If so why aren’t they in contact with Walkers. | 1longshorts
