Seems to have consolidated around 49-50p Mark for short while. Production re started, metal prices recovering. I'm predicting a spike up to a new base when we next get volumes around 2mill shares traded

Liberum actually lowered on 25 March their price target to 105p from 110p.

This was probably before full details of the lockdown in SA was known but nevertheless, assuming Sylvania achieves a modest Q4 EBITDA of say USD8m, the FY result could deliver EPS of 15p and with the recent recovery in Rhodium and Palladium prices and assuming 75k to 80k ounces in 2020 to 2021 FY, it is difficult to argue with this target price. As most of EPS converts to cash any Dividend over 5p will result in a 10% plus Dividend (at current SP) and failure to pay more or undertake Buy-backs will just increase the Cash holdings within the business.

A further point not to be overlooked, is just how much higher Palladium and Rhodium prices are compared to a year ago.

The one unknown is the potential impact in SA of Covid-19.

Looking at price target.

I see Liberum Capital raised it's price target to 105.00 in April.

Is this realistic ?

half year report from THS today states they expect PGM prices to stay strong for next 2 yrs:

'Tharisa believes in the unique properties of PGMs, which will mean the long-term demand for the metals remain healthy, coupled with reduced and disciplined producer supply of new ounces into the market, will underpin the balance and ensure prices remain strong for the next 24 months at least.

Delays in projects, together with tighter capital markets for new developments from proposed new entrants, will mean new supply will be delayed. '

ii are keen, using the Jim Slater stock picking principal, they note that :'......at the extreme, Sylvania Platinum (LSE:SLP)shows how a low PE and high EPS growth rate results in a very low PEG.'Slater's strategy typically chases small, profitable stocks with robust cash flows, low debt and prices that are already rising. He was keen on firms with a competitive edge, offering new products or services that were steered by good management. One of his most distinctive tools for picking shares is the price-earnings growth factor, or PEG. This compares the price-to-earnings with the earnings forecast growth rate. A PEG of less than 1.0 indicates that the stock offers an attractive trade-off between price and growth. I have now trebled my holding here over the last 3 weeks and am now more than comfortably tucked up, looking forward to healthy gains on the medium to long term.

A good read.
Pages 19 to 35 will also be of interest to those who have shares in Hydrogen fuel cell stocks.
