I have that date in my head but that is just an estimate (can't find any confirmation anywhere). Will certainly be this week based on historical timings

Yes, that would be useful to know...is it "officially" out tomorrow?

Is the Q3 update definitely tomorrow, or is that an educated guess?

Yeah, thinking the same after it fell dramatically on the last (very strong) update before rallying sharply.... It will certainly be a rollercoaster but long term trend should continue (up!) in line with cash generation....

Ah cheers, I didn't know the quarterly update was tomorrow.
Just seemed to bump up a bit on low volume.
Decision time I guess, buy more or sell today before the update?
:-)

JM65, Presumably because Volkswagen back to work in Europe's largest factory, with limited production

It's too cheap and tomorrow's Q update will demonstrate that, so people are buying in anticipation imho

SLP has been Simon Thompson's tip at IC and it's never been tipped or spoken about other than in his column
Can almost guarantee he'll have the undoubtedly incredible results up in lights the week after.
His enthusiastic update has been worth a 10% uptick the last five quarters that I've been a holder here. Check the charts, I'm confident of 55/60p here in a fortnights time.

Am sure there will be more (very positive) coverage in the next week or so after the quarterly update....

This week's Investors Chronicle re metals market mentions Sylvania in passing; though recommends buying Uranium holding via Yellow Cake(YCA).

Liquidity. Funds need cash. Probably a knock on from some taders with heavy losses on yesterday's expiring futures contract for oil.

Palladium & platinum made a bit of a comeback. Anyone know why they (or particularly palladium) got smashed today?

At current spot prices the SLP PGM basket is $2268 to put this in context that is over $400 higher than last quarters “spectacular” results

Research tree has a lot of research on this and other companies. In fact access is free for the next month or so. Insert - between research and tree to get to their .com website.

Also an announcement from Goldplat today

As announced on 25 March 2020, Goldplat's South African operation closed for a period of 21 days from 26 March 2020. The South African Government has now further announced an extension of the lockdown for 14 days from 16 April 2020, midnight. In terms of section 27(2) of the Disaster Management Act, 2002 and of regulations published on 25 March 2020 and 16 April 2020, the production of gold has been designated an essential service. In this context Goldplat has informed the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy ('DMRE') that it will restart operations on a reduced basis by Monday, 20 April 2020. Measures have been taken to enable employees to operate in a hygienic environment including employees being screened and cleared for work. The operations will comply with the DMRE request to ensure the health and safety of our employees during the lockdown period.

Hopefully, it won't be too much longer before SA mining operations return to a semblance of normality.
