19/3/2008 22:56 | Dr Jekyll I think 7p to 10p. I think a lot of people will sell after waiting for 2 years.imo. | diddy123
19/3/2008 21:42 | If it goes live, I'd be amazed if it enters at placing price (9p) - that would be fairly unusual. I reckon it'll hit mid-teens/20p at some point during the day. Unfortuantely, market conditions aren't good - neither were they when SWC originally floated. This mob really do time things well! | tofftrader
19/3/2008 19:31 | No idea to both questions diddy. No. of shares will be on advfn and was more than I thought they had last time I checked. I would guess at somewhere between 9 and 15p but have no idea in reality. Sounds like we may know tomorrow. Fingers crossed. Do you take my bet? :) | dr jekyll
19/3/2008 19:23 | 17/03/2008 As foreshadowed by Growth Company Investor, Chinese chocolate-maker Sweet China returns to AIM on Thursday after raising £2.7 million at 9p. Helped by Zimmerman Adams and broker Hichens Harrison, the company has returned to the junior market after clinching its £4.3 million acquisition of Ian Walker's now-restructured Essential Box, which supplies both the burgeoning Chinese market and upmarket western markets with popular brands. Chris Cleverly, the barrister, media man and entrepreneur who runs Sweet China, has spoken of following this by buying the 'state-of-the-art' Chinese factory where the chocolates are made with another £2 million funding and then a possible £50 million tie-up with a major Chinese confectioner. Floated as a shell three years ago and suspended in 2006, the company and its broker found it hard going raising the money in today's nervous market say advisers. Its long-term potential should be bright, provided it can weather the current market frost. | spymaster25
19/3/2008 19:21 | Dr Jekyll, what price do you think they will start at? Allso do you know how many shares are issued ? | diddy123
19/3/2008 19:17 | Let's hope it is tomorrow diddy123. It is beginning to sound very promising. I bet they go up on admission. Sportsman's bet? | dr jekyll
19/3/2008 19:16 | As long as when they start negotiations they don't suspend the shares for another 2 years. | diddy123
19/3/2008 18:03 | Following its re-admission to AIM, Sweet China will focus on negotiations towards further Chinese acquisitions which are understood to be well-advanced. It will also press ahead with plans to develop a third-party distribution capability for Essential Box Confectionery's brands in mainland China. And when back the action will push ahead. | william-just
19/3/2008 18:01 | My broker went to a Sweet China lunch a couple of weeks ago and came back with a bag full of samples which he told me, once finishing them were really good. His goody back contained a chocolate size 7 ladies shoe, a pooing reindeer with sounds, and some gooodies from Lings. He added that the presentation was good and the board very good, being able to answer the most awkward questions from around the room. He advised me to look at the makeup of the board which has experience in at least one case at FTSE 100 level and generally at levels several hundreds of millions of poinds higher than this one, something he didn't expect from a company with a market cap of 8m. There was also a piece in the Daily Mail yesterday with a photo of some of the products. Am hoping this could be a safety stock with the markets the way they are at the mo. been mostly in cash since dec but getting itchy feet to put money into good stocks. | hoots mon

18/3/2008 12:53 | There is article on Growth Company investor about SWC but for some reason , it won't let me paste the HTTP link. It confirm possible big tie up with Chinese chocolate maker. This may or may not work (if might just swtich to the subscribe page) | buddyol2 |
