26/4/2001 13:19 | don't agree guys. this is overpriced. 96p should be the price today for any sort of long/short.DYOR | kalbashir
09/4/2001 14:26 | There was a feature on the Directors' dealings in the Sunday Times yesterday - gave it a strong buy recomendation. Surprized it didn't open higher Fantastic chart too! | henrysugar
09/4/2001 14:15 | Been flying for a week now Shows patience in the right companies can pay H | hindsight
26/3/2001 18:55 | As a share goes I think it is extremely good value,as has been shown in thesechoppy markets.Unfortunatel Anyway in these markets its a share which will keep its value with the possibility of flying later. | calicoram
22/3/2001 23:25 | So now we know; EPS a little below forecast. Turnover up 8% to #39.6m Operating profit up 52% to #2.7m Earnings per share* up 81% to 15.0p Gearing reduced from 55% to 31% Dividend increased 33% to 4.0p I would like to have seen something more specific in the Chairman's statement about how exactly they will get to their old "£100m cap by 2005" target. If he no longer regards that as a serious target he should squash it now before it becomes a Rentokil-type millstone and install a new plan instead. From £11.5m to £100m requires about 55% pa without a merger/takeover/acqu | m.t.glass
02/12/2000 19:25 | I still believe that theres lots of life left in swallowfield especially with E.P.S forecast this year of 15.2p .But we'll have to wait and see. | calicoram
02/12/2000 17:47 | Calicoram. I tend to follow directors buying rather than brokers notes. I look for cash rich companies who have fallen a lot from highs (more than 50%), with low p/e (under 7) a nice dividend (over 4%) and directors buying. If the chart has been flat for a couple of months thats even better. | clem
01/12/2000 22:22 | Calicoram. I got these at 42p and was happy to be out at 85p. Why are these good for a further rise? 10 p/e for a microcap with nothing to write home about seems to be outside of the realms of 'knock down' cheap. Thats not to say they should get even less cheap. However these shares are now no longer in the 'contrarian value investor' zone which initially made me buy. Whats your reasoning on them? | clem
01/12/2000 21:21 | Am I alone out here thinking that Swallowfield is the steal of the year or am I missing something??? | calicoram
03/2/2000 01:33 | My mistake.I gather that Norit attempt is to go no further. | wessex
26/1/2000 13:42 | Apparently there was a match trade, ie the buyer and seller were matched, rather than there being the more usual MM transaction, of 500,000 shares at a £. Hence the big jump. The who and the why is still a mystery, but someone wanted £500,000 worth pretty badly. | clem
26/1/2000 11:53 | Another one of my dogs just went wooof! Knowing how you all love these runaways. I'd thought I'd be the first to point it out. Sadly I've only got 2500, but somethings looks up here. Makes unbranded cosmetics, £7m market cap. Bit of a dividend, a bit of a profit, been burning some cash. New FD. | clem |
