Mark Watson-Williams on Master Investor has updated this weekend on SUR as follows:

"Sureserve Group (LON:SUR) – share stake hurdles overcome, brakes off now

The change around in some larger share positions has possibly helped to take off the brakes on this compliances and energy services provider.

Down to just 46p at the start of this month, the shares have been edging higher this week, putting on 12.5% this week alone, closing at 54p.

Do not underestimate this group – basic services and cash generative, a classic combination.

I still see them touching 70p within the next few months."

Bid price up to 53p - hopefully about to hit new 4-year highs.

Given the potential for rapid growth as above, it's worth noting that SUR are almost on a single-figure P/E for the current year - with a £3m and growing cash pile:

Consensus forecasts:

Historic to 30/9/20 : 4.64p EPS
Current year to 30/9/21 : 5.23p EPS

Agreed igoe104....and not only that, but (1) SUR install heat pumps, and (2) SUR survey and install other energy saving measures in properties.

So SUR stand to benefit from three of the measures in the new green energy programme to be outlined today:



"Homes and public buildings

The government has pledged to install 600,000 heat pumps a year by 2028 as part of plans to make homes, schools and hospitals greener.

Ministers want gas boilers replaced by electric heat pumps, which extract heat from the ground or air surrounding a building. However, they are expensive and poor quality installations have undermined consumer confidence.

Earlier this year the government announced a £2 billion green homes grant scheme, with vouchers of up to £5,000 for energy-saving measures."

RNS just out - Slater's holding is unchanged at 23.92m shares, but his percentage holding has reduced slightly below the 15% threshold as there have been some shares issued.

Excellent spot igoe104, very good news.

And a terrific close on Friday, partly sparked by a late 150,000 share buy at 50p and then further buying at 52p.

New highs coming soon methinks.

Good news Igoe, even 5% of the 800million is £40million and SUR have 4 divisions in that list so it could be worth a lot more money!

SUR 4 divisions equal 11% of the 36 companies, it would very nice to get 11% of the £800million = £88million.

Looking strong again - certainly looks like new highs are possible soon, especially as we already know the year end results and outlook will be good.

I signed up for the Proactive session this evening when Bob Holt and the New CFO were due to speak but for some reason it did not happen.
A shame for me as this is the first time I have been aware of SUR doing a retail investors event.

Slater must be pretty keen, adding another 4.5m shares or so in just the last few days.

Thsts excellent, L@G holding was down to less than 5% last month. But since then Slater investments have purchased around 5%, so you have to presume that the overhang has cleared now....

Slater Investments now up to 15%. They've added around 3% since yesterday's RNS statement.

Over the last week around 7.35 million shares have gone through as sells. If they're sells hopefully that's the seller L&G cleared out and we should get an RNS on Mon/Tue.

That's what's been holding the share price back but after that we might just see it pushing north again when the buyers comeback in.

Plus we've got Bob Holt and Peter Smith presenting via Proactive on November 5th, let's hope we some fireworks after the presentation.
