Hi yabawbag,

Well, one reason that the Goldman Sachs guy was allowed to buy a conventional bank was that his fintech consisted essentially in setting up a sweep account mechanism that enabled customers deposits and withdrawals to be aggregated and (net)invested in US Treasuries, ie offering an above-market, essentially 'risk-free' return..

Simple, elegant and transparent. Even a 5 year old (copyright : Denzel Washington) can understand.

Not quite the case here, I think/hope you can see....and maybe even agree.

Think this might have been lost in all last nights bs.I thought it was very interesting highlighting fintechs buying banks is nothing new.Describes why buying a bank could benefit a fintech, different market however I thought there were similarities.https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2020/09/03/start-up-founded-by-ex-goldman-trader-becomes-first-fintech-to-complete-takeover-of-a-national-bank.html?__twitter_impression=true

'Not on for pumping' maybe more for de-ramping then. You predicted a massive drop in VAL last week, currently up almost 30%, thanks for the advice but I'd sooner roll a dice than listen to you.
