DW, I googled IG and the article is there on the site so have to assume it's real.The other I emailed the editor and asst editor to ask them to get it right and got a bounce back, emails adds don't exist. That immediately raised suspicion

Surely Google would have to verify any articles it displays to the public....the IG one looks genuine.

Not sure they'd have anyway of knowing, a techy could easily cobble something together and put it out there.I emailed both the editor and assistant editor before the articles were declared fake news. Needless to say the email addresses don't exist.

If so, that is excellent news. Cannot understand how/why/if the other is a fake as if you Google pro news you get the correct home page with the SYME article highlighted on the side.

An interesting day all round then - wonder who bagged the 62.5m earlier?
