Stellar Resources plc (AIM:STG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Simon Dominy as Director of Operations of GMOW (Operations) Ltd ("GMOW"), the operator of the Dollgellau Gold Project, which covers the 120 km2 exploration license over the entire Dolgellau Gold Belt from the Crown Estates. The licence contains the historic Clogau St David's Gold mine, renowned as being the source of royal gold. Dr Dominy (FAusIMM, FIMMM, FGS, FSEG, FMinSoc, MCSM) is a mining geologist and geological engineer and brings over 25 years of international experience to GMOW across resource development, mine operations and minerals processing. He has extensive global expertise in the evaluation and exploitation of narrow vein, high-nugget mineralisation such as is found at Dolgellau. Over the last 10 years, he has held senior technical and management roles for the leading consulting group Snowden, both Australia and the UK. Dr Dominy also brings specific Welsh gold experience having previous held a senior operational role with Welsh Gold PLC, which previously owned/operated the 5,000 tonne of ore processed per annum Gwynfynydd gold mine during 1990-1999. He has extensive experience across the entire Dolgellau gold-belt, having co-authored a number of scientific papers on geology and mineralisation in the region. It is envisaged that this will be completed within a few weeks and will conclude with a clear and structured exploration programme of the licence area.
