29/9/2017 11:09 | Rock solid balance sheet.. 'Cash and cash equivalents at 30 June 2017 of $1,259,000 (31 Dec 2016: $1,105,000). These cash balances have been maintained despite having no substantial public raising during the period and further funds are expected from the strong cashflows being generated by increased Cobre sales.' Commenting, John Peters, Managing Director of Strategic Minerals, said: "The first half of the year has seen the Company on the move, consolidating corporate project acquisitions and adding strategically important clients and I couldn't be more pleased with the Company's performance. As Cobre sales have increased, the resultant underlying profitability has transformed the Company and provided it the luxury of being able to self-fund value adding exploration programmes, without diluting shareholders." | the brex pistols
29/9/2017 11:07 | '1013% increase in operating profit to $690,000 (H1 2016: $62,000) from the Company's Cobre operation, prior to intercompany management charges, continues to underpin corporate cash flow and is expected to accelerate in the second half of 2017 in line with the commencement of the new and substantial contract in June 2017.' | the brex pistols

29/9/2017 08:08 | "The Board and Management considers prospects from its Cornwall Resources and CARE investments to be very encouraging. We continue to look to further expand our three core projects through exploration, development and corporate activities as part of our primary focus on providing shareholder returns with the ambition of increasing market capitalisation to GBP100m in the near-term." 8p per share would do very nicely, Regards, Ed. | edgein

11/8/2017 08:14 | I think what put some people off is that the bod quoted 100m marcap in 5 years. A lot of people want quick returns | pellers
10/8/2017 17:00 | It's frustrating that the market isn't getting this. Im around my limit now so don't want to commit much more but it seems great value given that sales are now dropping onto the bottom line. | pauliewonder
10/8/2017 16:10 | agreed, that and a weak afternoon for the markets generally I think | bountyhunter

10/8/2017 07:37 | Wow, what an rns. A couple of highlights: -- Transport issues in June see Cobre quarter sales dip before posting record sales in July Sales are up 4-fold since 2015 and doubled since last year! -- New customer contract commenced June 2017 bolstering cash balances Now cashflow positive, demonstrated by adding nearly $1m to bottom line between March 2017 and June 2017 (Cash of US$1.359m as at 30 June 2017 (US$0.695m at 31 March 2017) -- Profit margin at Cobre for half year to June quarter maintained around 50% Very impressive given the ramp up in production and will ensure the company is very profitable moving forward, potentially this margin could even get bigger with EOS -- Board targets a market capitalisation of GBP100m over the next five years Great to see a focus on not just company performance but also shareholder value. Note the comment about internal and external options being considered. Given how profitable the company is, it wouldnt surprise me to see a special dividend to shareholders. And finally a comment which is very exciting: "Over the period, the parent entity continued to maintain a tight control on overheads which remain, on an annualised basis, under US$1 million (excluding variable project review costs, foreign currency movements and non-cash adjustments). With sizeable cash flows and receipt of the final rail settlement payment, the Company has a healthy cash balance, which at 30 June 2017 was USD 1.359m (31 March 2017: USD 0.695m). Given the level of profitability being currently generated from the Cobre project, these balances are expected to build throughout the year despite committing funds to development projects. During the June quarter, the remainder of Directors and Management options became vested as the share price had a sustained period above the final vesting requirement of 3p per share". At under 3p this is an absolute bargain.....very happy with the rns, as you might tell. | pauliewonder |
