The previous over 3% holder Mr Corsie does seem somewhat fickle to say the least , with a rather interesting track record - see below :

Extract below -
"Richard Corsie holds 0 appointments at 0 active companies, has resigned from 10 companies and held 4 appointments at 4 dissolved companies. Richard is not registered as holding any current appointments. "
Good to see the new holder over 3% PVW posting number 4298 above with his thoughts and rationale for buying SML.
I have no idea as to his personal track record, but, good to see he has confidence, and, I am sure, not without good research.

AVP have 23 billion shares issued according to their website. 700 million is just a drop in the ocean of AVP shares out there.

Another 1m gone through on ISDX.
07/09/2015 15:02 1,000,000 @ 0.295p

There was a time when that many SML shares would have cost £150,000 now you can pick them up for £3,000.

Peter many thanks for posting – much appreciated. Wanbao could change SML overnight and we have the potential of the Canadian project as well. As you mentioned SML also has a chunk of cash raised at 0.6p which gives management some scope.

Congratulations on getting in so cheaply. JC paid £675,000 for 15m shares in 2013 so, compared to that, you would appear to have got a bargain. A lot of news due soon and hopefully we will get a decent update with the interims.

Dear fellow SML followers...Thanks to the Mad Stork for the +ve comment...right back at you...

I really think there's an easy double from the current level.

But I am looking more long term at those 1.5p & 3p option strikes...which if they do the kind of RTO which makes it worthwhile, will see those levels breached. Hence my recent holdings disclosure.

Net net (more) patience is all that's needed.

But down here with cash backing, all it will take is one of the deals they're looking at to come off & a RTO could be quickly transformational.

Interims are due soon this month, perhaps some helpful clarity on cash position & prospects will assist with a rebound.

For me this is a long term recovery/turnaround story & you can still get in very close to the bottom. I am inclined to add more when able, or on any further dips. I would be interested to see if the board can/will add post interims as well

I don't post on BBs & this may well be my 1st & last post...

But you can find me on twitter...where I have often posted on the likes of SML KIBO MARL INFA MXO EUA AAU NSCI PYC BOOM etc where I also have some holdings

Like this post of Zak's welcome SML chart update

I can also recommend earlsfield who posts on LSE & is on twitter @DavidNicholasB
We share some holdings & connections

All the very Best

Peter

dropside the trading days do seem to alternate between ISDX and LSE. Well worth everyone keeping an eye on both.

It certainly doesn't hurt SML having most of its funds in US$ and UK£. With the changes in the NZ coal market I would expect Tatu to only go ahead if there is guaranteed long term sales contracts. It would be difficult to find someone that knows the NZ coal market better than AB and I would have thought he would be even more valuable to SML now than a few weeks ago.

As dropside mentioned, the NZ$ is low and might well fall a bit further which makes NZ coal more competitive against foreign supplies. I would argue that equally important to price is the reliability of quality and characteristics of coal supply, and I would have thought there would be more chance of that with coal from a single mine source rather than importing through an Indonesian coal trader.

Bit of press in thee tip sheets this weekend, with Zak Mir suggesting rise to 0.8 is on the cards.

Dropside I think you've read that correctly. Locally produce coal at Tatu should be pretty competitive already,so every little helps. Provided the samples find favour with our potential buyers things should come good.

Did anyone else see the interview of John Key (NZ PM)on CNBC last night? The very important dairy industry is going through a hard time with historically low prices, though there were signs things are turning, and other agricultural sectors - wine, lamb meat etc are doing quite well. Growth rate is expected to be 2.5% for 2015.

He was surprisingly open about interest and exchange rates, though said the central bank made the decision independently. He foresaw maybe another interest rate cut and a further small decline in the currency before things worked themselves out.

That was the stand-out point for me. From a Tatu project point of view, this would improve the competitiveness of locally produced coal vs. imported.

Shame its Friday as there seemed to be a bit of momentum building up but that could just have been the Stork buying more ;-)

RC selling came as a bit of a surprise, so enjoy the weekend folks because who knows what will be happening here and on the markets next week.
