OCT proposes acquisition of Global Investment Strategy

Octagonal has entered into conditional agreements to acquire the issued share capital of Global Investment Strategy UK Limited that it does not currently own. It presently holds 9.97%.

The Acquisition, which is in line with the Company's investing policy will, however, result in a fundamental change in the business of the Company and will constitute a reverse takeover under the AIM Rules.

As a consequence, the Directors are seeking Shareholder approval for the Acquisition at the General Meeting, notice of which is set out at the end of this announcement. The Company's Admission document has been posted to Shareholders overnight.

Should the Acquisition complete, the Enlarged Group will become a financial services company, which provides settlement and safe custody services to smaller institutional funds, family wealth offices and high net worth investors along with other ancillary services.

The UKOG placing may of course have scared the buyer off for the time being but a large order was in @.5p and was to be followed by another @.55p

one thing I can see from the share price is that there haven't been any leaks of positive news that's for sure!
