09/8/2023 08:01 | yep - the o and g assets are delivering and debt will almost be gone | sea7
09/8/2023 07:39 | Production has remained strong averaging 2,080 boepd for the period, compared to 1,865 in the first half of 2022. This is fantastic progress with maximum uptime from our wells which resulted in production during the latter part of July consistently above 2,250 boepd. a good result, nonetheless | sea7
09/8/2023 07:38 | from the update.. Whilst we are focused on delivering further value from our existing oil and gas assets, our desire over time is to transition out of our oil and gas business and fully into geothermal bringing with us all the complementary skill sets and experience of our workforce. ..... this means it is for sale, although they haven't announced it publicly. They will no doubt close off the less economic wells, decommission and return the sites to normal, with a view to making the entire O and G portfolio as attractive as possible. It would be fair to say that the value of the O and G assets is in excess of the current mcap. | sea7
09/8/2023 07:33 | Siemens are talking about wind turbines - not geothermal | sea7
07/8/2023 08:10 | and that is where the opportunity is- buying at these levels has very limited downside and if they sell the O and G assets, the price will rise to reflect the value of the sale. All holders of the stock who don't want exposure to geothermal will sell out at that point. there is a profit to be made, if the above scenario plays out. | sea7
04/8/2023 11:09 | Grossly undervalued here but the bottom line is nobody likes their business plan. To replace quality oil and gas assets producing a good income with geothermal requiring a large capital investment and probably running at a loss? The plan is rhubarb. | kibes
02/8/2023 14:05 | theblackbaron - are you still holing Onerio Energy (one) , no ones bothered posting there since it got suspended | sos100
01/8/2023 12:53 | Yes edgon was bought out recently based on lower oil price value would work out at 60p for star with the same metrics | theblackbaron
01/8/2023 09:22 | Agreed their assets are worth more than the current price and they have significant tax losses, I'm surprised they haven't been taken over. The management need to concentrate on the core business of oil and gas production instead of wittering on about geothermal energy, the impression they give is they will sell off their core business and blow the money away on daft geothermal projects. They should listen to what Sunak said about oil and gas. But better still, they need to be taken over. | kibes
31/7/2023 16:20 | All change today and 60p is NAV on oil assets I think the political change today helps and producing 2,000bopd. For example Ujo produces 500bopd and 27m market cap vs 16m star ! Most of the debt has been paid off already fun times now sellers gone. | theblackbaron
29/7/2023 13:08 | Oh, such bitter sweet irony. You couldn't make this one up. In the Daily Telegraph online today:Taylor Swift's army of adoring fans appear to have surpassed themselves by generating a minor earthquake at her recent concert in Seattle. After two nights of earth-shaking dancing, "Swifties", as the pop star's legions of fans are known, registered the equivalent of a 2.3 magnitude earthquake. | fardels bear

26/7/2023 13:26 | Geothermal has a long track record in the Super Nimby Land of EU Europe - so STAR Energy will be good to go if they can get traction for their Geothermal endeavor. :) | ashkv
21/7/2023 10:59 | All their profits? will go on geothermal, all we need is one cracked wall in building and the NIMBYs will jump on the band wagon and say no to geothermal. | bsg
19/7/2023 15:08 | Brent up - and STAR down?? One would think STAR is already a Geothermal firm!!! Madness!!! | ashkv
18/7/2023 19:56 | dated 13th july... Oil extraction is to resume at the Avington field in the South Downs National Park after a break of more than five years. And It said the operator, recently renamed Star Energy, would carry out a workover of the Avington-3z well. This was the field’s best performer, accounting for 81% of the produced oil, UKOG said. It added: “Given the 5-year shut-in period, which potentially has permitted reservoir pressure around the well to build up, some element of “flush” production (i.e., higher than the flow rate prior to shut-in) is expected upon production restart.” The average extraction rate when the field was producing was 336 barrels a day. | sea7

18/7/2023 18:45 | dated 17th July 2023 Star gets a mention in this, as IGAS is the holder of the other 40% of the licenses. | ashkv |
