"Say, a 5% yield.......any thoughts."

Forget the dividend, it's all about capital gain, imo at least for the next year or so.

This is not about dividends, it is rapid growth in the sp, there clearly is a large buy order that is trying to be filled.

Div yield is 34%.

Can we all agree that this will be cut.

Say, a 5% yield.......any thoughts.

mrx9000 - Someone taking you for a ride maybe -£25? Is not the album worth that.

I was advised some time ago by a large dealer that mine were worth a considerable amount more than that, not that I was looking to sell but at the time was wondering what insurance value should be placed upon them. As it is I just got a bigger fire proof safe to place them and a coin collection together with other valuables.

That 10m looks either like the end of the line for a previous holder that should have cleared the overhang or the start of a stake building position I guess. So either way very positive imo.

No special conditions on the 10m trade, delayed, cross etc.

clocktower: I got my stamp collection valued, it has several albums, also one very big UK collection, together with first day covers, the valuation was £25, I couldn't believe it. Look on ebay now, first day covers are worthless.

Odd you should mention investment returns clocktower - After posting my previous comment, I got to wondering if I should be doing something with my collection. I'm pretty sure my kids wouldn't pay much attention to it, they'll be too busy cashing in the house so at what point does one change from being a collector to being a seller :)

Hopefully it will outperform your stamp collection gbh2 by way of investment returns but I would not part with my stamp collection that took a long time to build. However, I expect it will give pleasure to part with my stock collection in SGI once it has returned towards its former highs or at least halfway there.

Having been a stamp collector since I was a kid, I really fancied this company at launch but my funds were tied up elsewhere.

I've looked again several times since launch but never been tempted due to their poor performance, however at this level their stock & buildings are well worth the risk imo.

Some buys showing up as sells here today, and like you gbh2 I have been buying from 14p as funds allow.

Having doubled up twice at these low prices I also think this has a good recovery potential however I think it's going to take a while unless, as you say, a buyer steps in.

How many 10p profit takers are there left, bearing in mind most would have had to have held stock that they paid a huge amount extra for?

With Turcan on the board it makes Henderson`s position clear imo.

A bit of bouncing around and then movement upwards as further positive news comes to light.

A recovery stock in the making that could offer huge rewards and maybe there might even be a Chinese buyer that will take it out a a big premium before long.

Needs to get past the 10p profit takers before we'll see a genuine recovery of the share price

The appointment of Turcan is the best news that stakeholders have heard for some time and to top it the extra cash and future profit that results from property transactions. It is most pleasing to hear that much of the premises at Madison Avenue - New York have been sublet, lifting this weight off the company.

sounds positive. Interestingly appointed H Turcan from Hendersons.

That tick up went soon after posting - spoke to soon but clearly a lot have been adding at around 14p - Let us hope the support levels holds and gives us a chance of moving forward again.

CT, he'll be offered another position within a month, doesn't matter if he's up to the job, Directors look after each other better than any workers union ever did.

Be interesting to see if he holds onto all the shares he grabbed during his period of failure!

I doubt that gbh2 as he must hang his head in shame - being well past his sell by date I doubt if he will find other places for his skills of demolish-ion of investor value.

However, today seems to have started a little better for SGI with a small tick up that may signal the start of the end of the huge sell off. If it does I expect we could soon see a decent bounce bearing in mind we have a new Chairman with knowledge on the horizon, that also holds a decent amount of stock himself and maybe will add to that before long.

You can bet the out going chairman is leaving with a golden handshake, healthy pension pot and many thanks for all the things he failed to get right !

Well a new Chairman that has knowledge of stamps and an investment in the company that has a background of being involved with listed companies, it cannot get much better for a start.
