Ricky,

Why indeed! However some theories.

The company runs at a loss and continues to burn cash is one theory.

Why would this drop under 10p a share if the new share placing is at 10p ?

Better to have taken a shorter earlier than waiting for 10p or less karmastuarta.

How many of you are waiting like vultures with your giros to jump in when these are minus 10p?

2magpies,

Yes I remember the Tulip fiasco and I also remember Ostrich farming as well along with Ostrich eggs!

Quite a lot of antiques gone out of fashion, no one wants "brown furniture" anymore apart from selected pieces, fashions come and they go.

Hooley,

I had an impulse purchase on Friday, but also had a gut feeling over the weekend that I'd done a wrong-un and sold first thing this morning.
Like you I sold my 1840 1p blacks and 2d blues and the collection all at the wrong price, but still have a feeling that some overseas company might be interested in this piece of heritage. Pro-tem will wait for the price to get near the placing price.

Slow drip feed downwards towards 10p as PI`s get stuffed again.

Once upon a time people 'invested' in tulips.

We now wonder:" No -- did people really value tulip bulbs? Why? But that's crazy!"

In the time to come, will people say they same about stamps?

As well as a massive overhang of SGI shares, there is also a huge 'overhang' of stamps, and many, many, lovingly/laboriously populated albums just waiting to be offered in the market. It's only a matter of time.

IMO

Share price will trend to placing price of 10p. Might then be worth a punt in the hope of a bid/management buyout. Boys today have their tablets etc and hardly know what a postage stamp is. Who writes letters these days? I sold my 1840 2d Blues years ago. Their prices haven't changed much in 25 years!

Also I note the board members get the chance to increase their shareholdings far more than shareholders do. That's just wrong.

I see now it's based on other shareholders not taking up their basic rights. That's incredibly misleading.

I don't understand the point about current shareholders not being diluted. The placing is not open to current shareholders so how can they not be diluted? What do I miss here?
