23/2/2006 16:00 | I can't buy that - you would never see the sort of rubbish the press churn out on this thread!! | gregory0106

23/2/2006 08:20 | Press report today says rise yesterday was on basis that brokers expect better than expected sales will lead to an upgrading - let's hope so!! | gregory0106

22/2/2006 11:14 | TBH,the cyclical nature of this stock is laughable, its almost a license to print money. What will be significant this year is the stamp fund and how much interest it has generated. If you ahvent seen it already you can find it here: FOrecast EPS of 7.1p. SGI have a habit of beating expectations and I believe this year will be no different. The growth has been superb over the last 3 years and if this has kept up then I do not see why a significant rerating is on the cards. SGi is still growing well and there is reason for it to command a higher PE than it does atm. | ![]() kael
22/2/2006 11:08 | Could we be on a breakout to new highs, hope so! | ![]() elmfield
22/2/2006 10:19 | Delayed trades no doubt, and yes results will be good. AIMHO. | ![]() kael

18/2/2006 11:18 | Results date: 3rd March 2006 - Announcement of Full Year Results for 12 months ended 31st December 2005. rrr | ![]() rrr
16/2/2006 18:08 | Yes I believe they will be better than expected, there should also be news WRT to stamp fund as close off date is feb 24th?. Significant increase in turnover from that. Wont show in results but there should be an update on the fundamental numbers. | ![]() kael
16/2/2006 18:05 | Not a very big following here so the trading volume has not been all that good in recent months. Needs a good set of numbers to get things going. | ![]() ygor705
16/2/2006 12:06 | I have bought back in today. EPS expected at 7.1p, I belive they have performed better than expected - first half 2.2eps, second half of year is roughly 3 times of the first half due to seasonal variation, expect to see the high last year reached within a month. Best of luck to all. | ![]() kael

11/2/2006 23:56 | As I have posted before here, I am an avid collector of stamps, and some of the prices on Ebay are now going potty. If this is related into the unknown factor of the stamp fund, this will send the share up no end, also ,they must be selling well in the Gibbons shop in the Strand, simply because , they only sell the best. but its the quietness from Gibbons thats giving no indication at the moment. imho | ![]() abergele
11/2/2006 08:50 | getscenic... I had a small holding in SGI in 2004 when they were re-rated. No longer hold, but an excellent company. Couldn't agree more with your statement... "a quiet thread is a good thread" | ![]() gateside
11/2/2006 08:42 | Kidney, Think the problem with SGI is they have no comparables, alot of aim stocks on low valuations are now being compared to thier bigger brothers on the main market on higher valuations. Only the results will(or not) show up the value in this stock. But I feel the unknown takeup on the stamp fund will also be holding this back. But as I say a quiet thread is a good thread. A busy one needs watching all the time. | ![]() getscenic
10/2/2006 22:23 | Very quiet here.At one time SGI was being tipped everywhere. Now we see a rather limp chart which points to a possible retracement back to 90p before trying 100p again and then hopefully up to some level above 100p with 110p minimum.Of course,it all depends on the take up of shares in the new stamp fund. Will they announce this before results on 3 March...will be interesting to see. Also, note that SGI often issue rns late in the day not necessarily at 7am LOL to all patient and silent holders! | kidney
05/2/2006 20:00 | glad to see that there are still a few folks interested here. This company deserves more support. They are in a niche market totally unique.Nothing like them on the LSE as far as I know.NO scandals....great!On I am a holder not a ramper. | kidney
05/2/2006 15:03 | Quite interesting to look closely at the rises on the two year chart above. Until this latest rise, surges in the price have always been very steep with a steady retrace on the downside. This time the rise is not as sharp so I believe that we are more likely to hold on to any gains made. | ![]() ygor705
03/2/2006 18:20 | Well spotted Gregory. | ![]() high park
03/2/2006 17:28 | 31,500 shares sold today and the price stayed firm - in fact the sale price achieved actualy rose with each sale. I take that to be a good sign that there is support here. | gregory0106 |
