21/3/2018 23:28 | Singapore fines Standard Chartered $4.9 million for money laundering breaches. Are they incapable of learning anything, and simply obeying the law? | keyhole
27/2/2018 12:38 | Starting to acquire? I reckon they have already acquired a 15% discount and I see no signs of it narrowing. At the moment it just keeps widening. I have collected lots of stocks paying good dividends, some at great discounts to NAV but it ain't doing me much good as yet. Just to have be patient | cc2014
27/2/2018 11:29 | Shame its listed in London. Will no doubt eventually cancel this listing post brexit. Till then will be dragged down with the emerging discount UK stocks are starting to aquire. | my retirement fund
27/2/2018 09:46 | I certainly hope so. it does look good. | cc2014

26/1/2018 14:18 | Breaking that multi year breakline resistance level of 8.50. Nice one. | my retirement fund
26/1/2018 13:14 | Beginning to look quite decent. My trade from 2015 now up 5% lol. Looking at the chart might as well hang on for £10 now | cc2014
23/1/2018 11:26 | Good run over the last month. | aileron
10/1/2018 09:31 | Its been a while since weve seen over eight pounds. | my retirement fund
28/11/2017 09:08 | All on course for a recovery then | my retirement fund
01/11/2017 18:04 | May be some pain ahead, possible asia debt sell off as China looks to de-lever corporates and likely to raise rates. Fortunatly no better debt market man than Bill, so hopefully well positioned when rates do rise in mid 2018. GlA | wolfhound1
01/11/2017 10:27 | tpaulbeaumont 24 Jul '17 - 10:51 - 2208 of 2226 0 0 Edit dunno about that, theres 870 and 960 next up on my screen :) reversed 150+ thus far from a high of 860, has lots of various support levels at 695, 670, 640, 625, 550 etc | tpaulbeaumont
01/11/2017 10:05 | Good buying opportunity on doubled profit and grabbed it at £7 | andysaw
01/11/2017 09:16 | This may well be looked back in hundreds of years time as a buying opportunity but in the meantime I can see why people dont want to wait that long. | my retirement fund
01/11/2017 09:15 | Market unimpressed no mention of dividends | my retirement fund
01/11/2017 08:35 | not today for dividends it would seem, what are the peasants on BOD doing ? | stoxx67
30/10/2017 11:52 | When they going to resume dividends? | my retirement fund
03/8/2017 14:25 | I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Chinese made a bid for STAN before the divi is resumed. They like to acquire established outfits that are doing good business in 'their neck of the woods'. | keyhole
02/8/2017 22:00 | Cerrito - good post and I would agree with your comments. Looks like a reasonable investment at these levels. Hopefully, a dividend policy is not too far away. | topvest
02/8/2017 19:20 | Decent results foreshadowed by the Q1 IMS but I am not surprised by fall in share price as I think that the price had rather got away with itself and indeed I wish that I had sold more than I did last week. I was not expecting a dividend..I think it realistic to expect a token one to be declared next year for 2017. Note that Tangible NAV per share is 1203p ie they are trading at a 35% odd discount. Note also that yesterday HSBC announced a TNAV of $7.73 or £5.8 ie with the HSBC share price at £7.6, HSBC’s are at a 30% premium; on this rather crude matrix for me STAN slightly undervalued ref HSBC. Other points I note they are the first bank to offer video banking in HK and cannot recall seeing that service offered by any bank here in the UK I see that H1’s NIM at 1.6% was the same as H1 2016 For me good to see further increase in CET1 and fact that already exceeds the BOE non binding indicative MREL for 2022. Was expecting to see comment about expenses for compliance etcet bit if they were there could not see them. For me shares seem pretty fairly valued in the £8 area | cerrito
02/8/2017 17:34 | Bought into STAN at 1625 today. Don't mind waiting for the divi. | calabrian
02/8/2017 11:37 | HSBC has shown that recovery AND dividends can be achieved. "HSBC has paid out around $10 billion a year in dividends in the last four years, while StanChart cut payouts since November 2015 to focus on restructuring". | keyhole
02/8/2017 10:58 | No dividend stinks. | smurfy2001 |
