SGC may have benefited today on the back of GOG's robust trading statement that appears well received and raised GOG's share price by 2.6% this morning.

Has any shareholder who requested script dividends received their share certificate? I was told that the certificates were posted on Wednesday,I'm still waiting.

Always reassuring to see PMDR's putting their own money into the Company, however small. Sign of confidence from person responsible for 'driving the bus'

Local news in Exeter about digital trackinging of buses enabling Bus Controllers to assist buses caught up in congestion by controlling traffic lights to favour their progress. This is apparently part of a National implementation plan and therefore must be good news for SGC passengers and other Operators Countrywide in the longer term.

TransPennine Express (TPE)

Stagecoach Group plc announced today it has qualified to submit tender for TPE. An announcement about the successful bidder is expected in autumn 2015, with the contract expected to start in February 2016.

Sawadee3 I appreciate it's always a chancy business, making a prediction and I'm currently minded to recall Oscar Wilde's famous quote 'The Golden rule' is that there is no 'Golden rule' and he was most probably right....!

Even better buying price than the 352 we previously got.

Now heading for blue :-)

Now that is very interesting, adds78, so there is a definitely an exploit to be used when timing your buys, and you could have nailed the very reason right there mate :-)

All looks good for the future Stagecoach, I always had a lot of respect for Brian Suter coming from his humble background.

I continue to buy :-)

Sawadee the reason the jump every month is employers share save, where shares are brought by Yorkshire building society every 1/2or 3rd of month, also the JV on swt with network rail is a huge plus!!, to top it of with a cherry all the engineering contracts being won using swt new rail machines there is alot going on behind closed doors.

Do what you feel is right Mazarin, but whatever, you're in a good sector for long term growth :-)

Lets just watch and see if these rise into the end of the month as I expect :-)

I thought your prediction showed promise of materialising on Wednesday 16th, but fell back by Friday with Market generally to realise that may be, I'd bought just a little too early (as ever), now looking and waiting, but have to say I generally adopt a much longer term approach and seem to remember buying SGC at 27p 'once a upon a time'.

Decided to 'jump back on board' this morning and buy back in again, having been away for quite a while. I decided this time to wrap it into my ISA as SGC has generally given me good returns over many years, so I'm hoping again for more of the same.

"I love Stagecoach and is 1 of the cheapest industrials on my screen with 10 years of straight dividend growth if i remember correctly?"

Indeed, and on top of that over the same period it has returned 128p/share cash to shareholders via capital distributions. Not a bad return on 37p invested! Why oh why didn't I buy more?!

I love Stagecoach and is 1 of the cheapest industrials on my screen with 10 years of straight dividend growth if i remember correctly? The other cheap industrial is Eazyjet after a 35% correction from its recent high for no apparent reason.

I simply followed Brian Souter when he came back in as CEO to rescue the company after its American debacle. He bought £13m-worth of shares and I thought that was a bit more than a token gesture!

Never managed to grab any at that price, jeffian, well done :-)

I did get lucky with some oilies years ago, used the profits to buy into income funds/shares/IT's which make up a good 70% of the SIPP. Still enjoy trading with a pot, mostly commodities.

Good luck!

You're a much wiser man than me. Bought mine in 2003 for around 37p, have had my money back several times over from returns of capital and have had a good dividend....and never added. Doh!

jeffian, I'm not making any money from SGC and won't be till retirement. The plan is and has always been accumulation. I exploit the movements to gain free shares as well as put new money in monthly. Have done for years. Dividends are always re-invested.

All tucked away in the SIPP.

My point being, it's not specific to SGC. You'd have achieved the same effect trading the index. Anyway, as long as you're making money, that's the main thing!
