20/9/2019 09:26 | Moving to a new one year high, which is probably nothing to do with electricity and all about politics , but ... 16/9/2019 15:36 | bobby12340.What are you referring to? My posts have included the OP post for reference .All I have asked was about how much losos was talking about being cut.I am well aware how the Electricity industry works having being an NG.and SSE shareholder for years. | baztea49
16/9/2019 13:36 | Bobby yes re-basing from 97p to 80p in 2019/20. Any idea what they will do after that? | redartbmud
16/9/2019 13:33 | Closed September bearish positions this morning - not tempting fate. ;) | alphorn
16/9/2019 13:32 | Redartbmud-SSE dividend policy is well documented ''SSE remains committed to its dividend plan for the five years to March 2023. This includes targeting a full-year dividend of 80 pence per share for 2019/20'' | bobby12340
16/9/2019 11:28 | Baztea49-it appears you don't know anything about the Electricity Supply Industry. SSE will not be a new type of supplier-it wont supply anyone-it has sold its supply business. It will be the largest renewable energy generation company in the UK and Ireland together with having 3 network licences-SEPD,SHEPD and SHEPD Transmission. These licences are regulated by Ofgem. | bobby12340
13/9/2019 21:11 | I think it is optimistic to look at the current political chaos and take much notice of the 2023 predicted dividend! Let us hope it is still a listed company then. | wad collector
13/9/2019 11:58 | SSE remains committed to its dividend plan for the five years to March 2023. This includes targeting a full-year dividend of 80 pence per share for 2019/20. Anyone know the policy and possible numbers for 2020/2023? | redartbmud
13/9/2019 11:09 | Baztea49 - "The divi is already being cut from 97.5p this year to 80p.Or do you mean a further cut?" I was thinking of further cut, sorry I don't log in here every day. I'll take Poikka's advice, divi secure hope he's right. looks like SSE is aiming to be a 'new' type of energy supplier, that's a long term objective so I don't see the share price taking off, pleased they've exited the consumer market, as others have said it just seems Corbyn will steal the assets if he gets in. horrible nasty man. | losos
13/9/2019 10:36 | Divi secure, apparently - phew. | poikka
13/9/2019 09:10 | hydro "In kind" conjures up some wonderful fantasies, but seriously, it gives the opportunity to manipulate the value of the future transactions. SSE could be stung twice. | redartbmud
13/9/2019 08:47 | So it has net assets of £764M and is being sold for £500M ? I realise that those NAV measures involve a lot of guesswork, but does not look a great price. All about future liability I guess. | wad collector
13/9/2019 08:08 | Market likes it, price is not very high given assets and profit, but worth it to tidy up the business and get out of a tough area. I like the loan note interest rate- 13.25%, makes me wonder what their credit risk looks like, couldn't find it on a quick look. SSE plc ("SSE") has entered into an agreement to sell its SSE Energy Services business to OVO Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of OVO Group Limited, at an enterprise value of £500m comprising £400m cash and £100m in loan notes (the "Transaction"). In the 12 months to 31 March 2019, SSE Energy Services made an adjusted operating profit of £89.6m, with reported pre-tax profit at £35.3m. At 31 March 2019 the value of its gross assets were £1,851.7m and the value of net assets were £764.2m. It employs around 8,000 people across a number of locations in GB. in addition to the net cash consideration, SSE will receive a £100m loan note to be issued by a member of the OVO group due in 2029, unless prepaid earlier, with an annual interest rate of 13.25% payable in kind. | hydrogen economy
13/9/2019 07:18 | Who cares. Everyone who can leave the UK will If Corbyn gets in. People and businesses. He'll open doors to 10,000,000 North Africans. It's gunna be a total hell hole. To avoid happening at all cost. | borisjohnsonshair
04/9/2019 12:53 | Sitting on my hands! | alphorn
04/9/2019 12:48 | Well , Ladies and Gentlemen , what do we think about the chances of Corbyn getting in and buying our shares for a fiver? A LIB/LAB pact doing the same thing? A Tory majority government doesn't look very likely right now , I am surprised the share price is still rallying a bit but we are a long way down. | wad collector
02/9/2019 15:19 | re #313. Also hold some bearish positions that I had doubled up; half expire this month. Then reassess with the shenanigans going on. | alphorn
01/9/2019 10:04 | Looks like weak support at 1118.50p with strong resistence at 1165p | sarkasm

30/8/2019 16:32 | Interesting to see that in such a politically sensitive stock , that the share price has rallied recently despite further chaos in Westminster. I guess the thinking is that an impending Labour election win is less likely. | wad collector
29/8/2019 13:28 | Can't help feeling SSE divi will be cut at some stage. How I wish the politicians would keep their noses out haha. The divi is already being cut from 97.5p this year to 80p.Or do you mean a further cut? | baztea49 |
