Wonder how much the shareholders will get if the Corbyn plan comes to fruition?
Last renationalisation of the railways under a Lab govt did not go well for the PIs....

Analysts always roll out downgrades AFTER the Sp has dropped, and upgrades AFTER the Sp has risen.

Handcrankers.

Seems likely that when the Labour party announce the plans tomorrow that there will be further testing of the share price
And this used to be such a reliable share...

The final div should be 68.2p. I don't think it will be cut as it will be rebased to the 80p total next year. Split may be 24p int 56p final.

Not sure what the eps will be as the one reported in the 3rd qtr update of c64-69p doesn't include SSE energy services nor 6p on the 2018/19 Capacity Market receipt outstanding ( which should be a timing matter only)

Can't cover the dividend with earnings (according to ADVFN financial). I guess what I'm saying is could we have another VOD with this. I can see absolutely no reason to hold if that occurs.spud

Anyone have a view on the prospective dividend? (Dividendmax subscriber perhaps). I’m of the opinion that there will be a cut and reduced my holding by 25% recently.

SSE is cutting 444 jobs after receiving a lukewarm welcome for its smart meters.
The FTSE 100-listed firm blamed stiff competition, higher costs and the introduction in January of a cap on how much it can charge. But the union Unite said it was down to a lack of interest from customers in smart meters.

Good observation thanks, and hopefully they will not waiver from this. I am still perhaps cautious on the basis that I do not understand yet how much of a game changer the abandoned transaction may be for them?

Certainly keen to get a better view on what their new strategy may be going forward.

Thanks
