14/12/2016 11:33 | because the quoted spread is just indicative, as MM's don't want to reveal their hand till an actual deal is on offer, with small caps that is always the way. L2 is just indicative, the most uncompetitive broker on L2 could well turn out to be the most competitive when a trade is placed. Re chinese warship btw, as MDM system is a fusing together of all info, then it's going to stick out like a sore thumb as radar indicates it's there but not showing up on AIS. | the prophet
14/12/2016 11:29 | Whilst here, has anybody got any thoughts why we still have a 7% bid/offer spread quoted (43/40p) on ADVFN. Its actually very close to 42/40 today. The brokers still are making it hard to trade. | 2vdm
14/12/2016 11:25 | I hope you're right. I suspect that if tensions build with a giant like China,SE Asian countries will shelve MDM plans and concentrate on defence with a capital D for radar/civil protection.I don't suppose any chinese warship will have it's class A switched on when it's on the move! | 2vdm
13/12/2016 22:02 | Tension between Trump and China is escalating very quickly. China's neighbours are panicking. Defense spending is set to rocket. Many of these Countries have been talking to SRT for months, even years. I suspect that many wish they had moved faster, allowing them to have the security information that they now need. I suspect that ST'S pen will soon be in great demand. Other parts of the world might also recognise the need to book their place in the queue. Interesting times, especially when the market wakes up. | countryman5
12/12/2016 15:19 | Or, is someone shaking our Christmas tree? | lazyj

12/12/2016 12:19 | we've got orders, although more of them is always good. Deliverables would be good as well. | the prophet
12/12/2016 11:57 | not bothered with webcasts, just orders now please! | hjb1
12/12/2016 09:41 | last two year we have had a webcast in 3rd week December - 15th then 18th -this year ? | 9degrees

08/12/2016 23:05 | Well the PM has been in the Gulf, but, Boris is about to go there too, no doubt to schmooze with our allies, foster goodwill and help promote trade.I'm sure the Saudis will welcome him with open arms! | 2vdm
08/12/2016 22:37 | Not so sure about the Cranberry sauce. Half will get used and the other half sits in the cupboard going off gradually... I think we need high sugar content jam. | yump
08/12/2016 21:59 | Has ST been in the Gulf this week? | goodapple
08/12/2016 21:20 | I have always been of the opinion that our larger shareholders would be tempted by an opportunistic T/O. However, I feel confident that we are now so close to enormous and numerous contracts, that even if an offer came tomorrow, the rolling contract news would make any offers seem ridiculous. I believe that the company is so close to the promised land that its future is safe. | countryman5
08/12/2016 08:28 | Well the volume is very small, so not a sign of buying by someone in the know. We are still blind, but hoping the guide dogs (CEO and Chairman) are correct in leading us towards promised jam. Cranberry sauce would be nice. | yumyum
08/12/2016 08:09 | I am quite sure that there is always an amount of insider buying from those in the know !!!! | parsons4
08/12/2016 07:50 | Parsons4.All we have been offered is "significant project deliverables" and hopefully we may see a new contract arriving. Re your second statement, I don't know how anybody knows that a 2nd contract is be imminent and is buying as that would be insider dealing. | 2vdm
07/12/2016 22:37 | I do think that the next 4 months must deliver some large orders !! The activity today suggests that a contract is imminent. | parsons4
07/12/2016 20:29 | TP. You are correct, and there is still roughly four months of this FY left. Saudi was announced in October which was positive news. | eagle eye
07/12/2016 20:13 | so do I, ee, but the TU was definite...... ' which will result in the completion of significant project deliverables in the second half' Nothing guaranteed, but the above is close to it?...... | the prophet
07/12/2016 20:03 | The chart coming off bottom would tempt a few technical analysis investors in, though how relevant that is, who knows. I agree with yump a few posts back that 40p looks a good entry point based on the large contract already announced. Just hope the 'which will result' doesn't mean the next financial year LOL. | eagle eye
07/12/2016 18:05 | Hi LaV, yes I agree with your take, volume doesn't seem too bad at the moment as well, 500,000 or so shares traded a day.I also agree that there must be a certain amount of scepticism re SRT's talk of goodies to come this half. What is different, I feel, is that this time around we have a signed contract as opposed to waiting for one to land on the door mat. Still, these things are never guaranteed, but the TU was about as definite and positive as you can be.....'which will result', that doesn't leave any wriggle room, does it! | the prophet
07/12/2016 17:36 | No doubt TP. no doubt. But doubters may recall similar statements at the interim stage over the years ... One of my sister-in-laws has been buying recently, with me as the man with the finger on the buy button, and it seems to me that the share is being watched quite closely by both buyers and sellers. As and when news hits, who knows the reaction? I am still waiting for my own influx of funds. By the by, I have just finished dealing with the said sister-in-law's transfer of her defined benefit pension into a SIPP. Some scoundrels were met with en route and some even paid for advice we did not need nor intended to act upon, but what surprised me most was that most receiving schemes would refuse to accept a transfer unless the advice was positive. Except for AJ Bell, who correctly interpret the guidance as requiring the member to receive advice but explicitly requiring the transferring scheme NOT to second guess the member's decision if they decide to go ahead with the transfer. Well done AJ Bell! I was actually considering moving the various family accounts held with them to HL (who would have refused the transfer) because they have annoyed me a few times. Now, no, let them keep the accounts and the meagre commissions they make. | lavalmy
07/12/2016 16:50 | re somebody knows somethings coming....well, the TU was pretty clear: 'During the period there was material progress with several projects which will result in the completion of significant project deliverables in the second half. Upon completion the Company will make further announcements and provide market guidance accordingly.' so 2 months plus into the second half, perhaps those deliverables are not too far away?...... | the prophet |
