I understand that about $25 million of kit was transferred to Kuwait before Christmas. I suspect that the cash has now arrived at MSN. I note about 25 vacancies being posted with several of previous vacancies no longer displayed. |
It will be interesting to see what PE the market and institutions award SRT when the broker's note has been digested, especially if it predicts an annual compound increase in T/O and PBT in the 20% to 30% range. Another small cap growing at such a pace is cosmetics company, Warpaint (WZL) which appears to be on a PE of 25 having previously been above 30. |
Its the latter :-( |
'Bed and isa' is a thing - if you're transferring between accounts at the same broker you should be able to do one as an effectively indivisible transaction. You just need to call the broker and make it clear that that's what you want and expect. In that case the market maker instructed by the broker takes on the minuscule risk for his modest fee.
If it's two different brokers, then Friday afternoon is probably your best bet ;¬) |
Maybe speak to your broker Yump, they may do both same day knowing they are doing both transactions. I am with ii and did 3 different stocks Bed & ISA recently, and the transactions were approx 3 mins apart on same day and looks like only the immediate spread was incurred. All 6 transactions were done within about 10 mins if that helps. |
Haven't done it for a while. Think I might have to use a chunk of separate money to feed ISA and then replace with sale money.
Sorry o/t. Nervous about a sudden broker's note that makes the price go crazy! |
Yump - do they even do it (sell, transfer, buy) on the same day as the sell money takes 2 days to arrive ? (just an almost lost memory of being p...ed off doing it) |
What's the safest time to bed & isa - I'm guessing a Friday after lunch if the price is stable... Don't want to see a price jump inbetween the transactions! |
I am anticipating Indonesia soon starting, which will allow for the publishing of the long awaited brokers note. This will allow for Mr T to visit the institutions with a three year forecast, underpinned with contracts. Now that O I is a major shareholder, I suspect that Mr T speaks regularly to 60% plus of shares. If institutions want to buy into the story, they are going to have to pay up. Interesting times lie ahead. |
Meanwhile, as the indexes move a couple of %, the media don't notice that BTC rebounds from a drop to 90000 back to 98000.
Sorry o/t but it brings it home how rubbish financial news reporting is. Long may it continue - we can just take money from the numpties who react to headlines. |
DaveMac3 What are the chances that they aren’t? Perhaps a little bit above 0% ! |
Just checked The AGM for 2014 was on 15/7 |
Perhaps Trump and his mates are shorting the markets |

![](https://images.advfn.com/static/default-user.png) It was interesting to hear Oliver Plunkett mention that the only competitor to SRT was possibly China. He is right at the heart of SRT and knows what is going on. China has not revealed itself as having an integrated system like Geovs. However, China is conquering the shipping world with its extended ‘Belt and Road’. It has just funded an enormous port in Peru and no doubt part of the deal will have been a Chinese MDA system. I wonder if SRT would have installed Geovs if asked? Would China have plundered it? Trump USA is all about short term money and is walking away from ‘soft power’. Overnight the World has changed and China will fill the void and take control of all the oceans / ports and fishing. China will control global trade transported by sea. Now that the US is not interested, apart from the US, who has the money? The US was courting Kenya and Tanzania, will China now step in? Will we see Saudi exerting influence? I wonder how much of Africa would interest Saudi? There was speculation that Saudi would fund a MDA system for Egypt. Surely Saudi has to catch up with protecting the Red Sea first. I suspect that there are many countries (including Europe) which are waking up to the fact that they are on their own and the US is no longer interested in the rest of the world. At least Russia no longer has spare cash. |
I had nothing to say as everything was rumours. I attended the AGM in, I think, 2014 about a year after I bought shares. Unless you are implying I am a liar not sure what your point is Super. |
Wizard - ref your 15643 - having checked your posting history here, I see you first posted in a little flurry in 2015, then silence until the middle of 2024. Given your obvious belief in the value of your own opinions, I find it hard to believe you 'have been invested in SRT for over a decade' and yet remained silent throughout that time. The actions belie the words, I'm afraid. |
Fish is very important for the World Bank. I suspect that many parties have learnt from the politics of powerful fishing interests in the Philippines. |
![](https://images.advfn.com/static/default-user.png) Next week or the week after was the timescale they were suggesting at the AGM for the UKEF, but of course they have been very wrong about that before. For people who were not at the AGM, the hold-up has been due to the UK and Indonesia rewriting their standard export credit contracts with SRT's one being the guinea pig - seven other contracts are also waiting behind SRT. So there should be a flurry of news about the UK and Indonesia on the one hand and SRT specific news with a Bakamla ceremony as well. I should add that at the AGM it was mentioned that SRT had requested that they not be named in the comuniquee when the President met Starmer.
There will be the interims as well, probably later on in February.
I don't know if anyone else noticed but whenever fish were mentioned all eyes turned to J-F. In all the recruitment descriptions fish are mentioned very frequently as well. I think they are spending reasonably heavily on this segment, yet have only one customer to date and that is stalled as we know. So I suspect that there is a lot more to play for than has been mentioned and that SRT are well down the path of having effective solutions for when their customers grasp that complicated nettle. |
Lav has set out the timetable. Indonesia finally signed followed by detailed brokers note which will hopefully show Kuwait early cash already in the kitty. I suspect that ST will be visiting institutions on the back of brokers note with a good story to tell. Hopefully Wizo will sell some more to allow them to get a substantial holding. Which will be first, Kuwait day or brokers note? I suspect that Kuwait will be showing off its new SRT kit for all its neighbours to see. Expect publicity |
You are an optimist Noobie! |
My buys are anchored to a 400p price target. I'm ready to continue buying a rising price
I'll rerate target price upwards at 300p+ |
I’ve got a very interesting history but won’t post it.
However, I am working on a system where I can record the most useful posts on threads and view them later in one place. |
