Back to 40p ish area. I forgot the 3rd rule of investing in small companies: any decent rise after a placing always goes back to the placing price at some point. |
Just looking around, there seems to be have been no UKEF supported contracts announced for Indonesia for the past couple of years, really since SRT's initial MOU, and that despite the Green Book mentioning several. SRT say that there are seven others waiting for theirs to be done once SRT's loan documents are issued which will be the new proforma agreement for all of them.
They are still trying to hire a bunch of people including for Indonesia. A new app is on the cards as well, whatever that is going to do. With the Nexus app, it seemed that the latency was a bit too much because of too much code. I don't know how easy it is to shrink that sort of thing. |
Dragging on a bit innit, is it still going ahead or not?? Either way, the mooted Feb. time scale for the brokers note has passed then. |
I hope that the pledge for UKEF by Kier Starmer to Ukraine does not result in withdrawing or delaying still further the UKEF arrangements for SRT. I hope it will be ring fenced. |
I don't know what they were going to spend it on, but at least funds won't need to be diverted from other potential projects. |
With the US seemingly keen on re-invigorating the Monroe doctrine, they may be happy to support Argentina's protection of its natural resources, particularly if exploitation is (a) manifestly illegal and (b) being done by the Chinese. Proxy wars can take many forms! ATB |
Yes, Extrader. They need enough money for an SRT system. Perhaps from their burgeoning oil and gas business. Give them 3 years..... |
Thank you Baynet. Business continues well. Indonesia is obviously a bit delayed but Kuwait money must be rolling in. That is very important. And good. Indo cannot be that far off now. By the end of March we can all have a spring in our steps. |
New gallery post Kuwait progress
And another....
Commodore Sheik Mubarak of the Kuwait Coast Guard, demonstrates the first phase deployment of the state of the art integrated SRT-MDA Maritime Surveillance System inside a specialist SRT built and supplied mobile command truck to The Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister of Kuwait during Kuwait National Day Celebrations February 24, 2025 |
It's a valid approach, although then you only get 1 hit, instead of 2. |
Let's save that for when the UKEF finally get their finger out. |
Might be time for Tucker to call Thompson and suggest an update... |
Thanks carcosa, off the top off my head the only "personal" behaviour that could be associated in that way would be bribery or some sort of threat? To coerce the Bureau of Fisheries into awarding the deal to SRT? Both sound unlikely, but probably relatively easy to produce evidence in today's digital world if there is any truth to it. |
In legal contexts, corporate liability requires showing that the company, as an institution, was involved in or benefitted from the corrupt practices in a way that violates the law. However, if the misconduct is limited to the personal decisions of an executive, then the legal proceedings may target that individual rather than the entire company. This distinction is important because it recognizes that while the company may have been the beneficiary of the contract, it is the personal conduct of the CEO—who holds discretionary decision-making power—that is under scrutiny. |
I'm always waiting for the biggy with these, FOMO meaning I never sell in expectation when I do, a contract will suddenly come in. But I would have made so much more just trading it along the peaks and troughs over the years. Still expecting it to be a multi-bagger in the long term as it now appears to be actually delivering those contracts, but must learn to take ST's timelines and double them and add some (I have no doubt he is telling the truth as he is told/expects, but working with governments is always thus). Good luck all |
Why would ST be implicated but the CFO and SRT cleared? Surely if ST is implicated then SRT and all directors are as well? Personal vendetta of some sort or hitting the most visible personality within the business?
There must be some key evidence that will have to be outed during the proceedings to differentiate ST from SRT. |
I must say I feel so sorry for Simon. It must be very stressful having an unwarranted court case hanging over your head, just for doing your job.
I think in his position I wouldn't be choosing the Philippines as a holiday destination any time soon! |
It's amazing how SRT always dissapoints just when things seem to be coming together. |
Whilst we are talking phillipines new job there posted yesterday
"SRT's business continues as normal, both with the existing contractual obligations to support the fully operational first-class fisheries management system as well as on new upcoming business opportunities." From this mornings RNS |
They do need to put out a RNS IMO.Hopfully this am but legal opinion might delay things a little. I am unclear as to who might have suggested this news is " funny".that is totally inappropriate if true. |
Today's news clearly was not ideal. That being said getting a case thrown out as ST was trying to do has a very high bar to reach. It's probably easier to win the main case. OI along with their advisors would have done their due diligence and it's unlikely they would have invested if there was more than a small chance of reputational and/or business impact for SRT (and, by association, ST) based on the facts of the case.
Just my 2c. |
super sleuthing AE. Thank you. |
Well I would still be rebuying my shares in an ISA, but it would be at this price, rather than just under 60p, if I had decided to be 'clever' and sell last week and then just wait.
But we all know what would have happened then!
Bit tired of sods law working overtime :-( |
Thanks - I thought so - some posters seemed to be misinterpreting it (unless I misinterpreted them of course!)
Hard to know about Jaffa - after his disastrous intervention in Ukraine this week, they certainly won't trust him - he could pivot to China on a dime - all it needs is the smell of a deal - and might be reluctant to use US equipment given that it can be turned off or 'monitored' at any time.
Very fluid situation. |
