08/6/2020 23:55 | pinkfoot, very latest to HMRC is latest Dec 31st 2020. Usually we get them mid-July - this will be for the year ended March 31 2020. They won't look very pretty. | yumyum
08/6/2020 22:21 | When are the accounts due? | pinkfoot2
08/6/2020 15:45 | A lot of buying today with no impact on SP | goodapple
07/6/2020 10:13 | Technology will not stay still. Every few months the company releases an update on its Geovs system. This is the clever hub that receives all of the information feeds and presents it to the viewer having 'sliced and diced' all of the information. One of the information feeds is satellite where technology will only continue to advance. One of the problems when seeking illegal activity is when boats switch off AIS signals. If there is radar or cctv, this picks up an object and if there is no AIS signal this sets up an alert of a possible illegal activity. If there is no radar or cctv, what are the options? Supposing a satellite could recognise a mobile phone signal, using triangulation? If a mobile phone is detected in the open sea it must be on a boat and if there is no AIS signal this would suggest a need for investigation. Geovs is the crown jewel of SRT that has taken years of expertise to develop and will not be easily replicated. The only option for competitors is to try and buy out SRT. Don't give the company away. | countryman5
06/6/2020 10:11 | News article in US saying boat sales up 50% this year because of virus. It will be interesting to hear update on Emtrak sales with annual report. Am hoping for news on Saudi and Kuwait contracts before then. These are prestigious contracts and will make SRT a recognised leader in the enormous maritime systems market. I am expecting bidding war to start after these contracts announced. Don’t sell for less than £2! | countryman5
05/6/2020 17:12 | It seems a bit of a toss up as to whether we will see positive news from the Middle East before we see a new Philippines project winding its way through the system. The Philippines government has reduced the headline total budget for 2021 from what it initially was expecting, so the budget will be some 5-6% higher rather than 10%. There is also a pivot towards Covid and health expenditures, but these things take time to formulate, develop and budget, so much of what is already in the pipeline will carry on. The reduced headline number does have an impact, as it is top down - so they come up with a number, deduct spending that they have to do by law, deduct on-going projects etc and what is left can be used for new projects. Some of the big infrastructure projects look likely to be cancelled or delayed. One thing of note is a new emphasis on food security and we all know that fish play a big part in this. So I expect that whatever the new monitoring project is (and it is not an extension of the Philo project which will happen later) it will have an integral role in ensuring that boats are doing what they are supposed to be. Not directly related to fisheries, but necessary to enable an expanded Philo project to succeed. The budget is expected to be presented to Parliament on 20 July and shortly thereafter a line by line version is published. If we knew which agency was in charge we should find it if it is there and the tender documents in the autumn. As for the Middle East, it seems that your Mrs Patel will have as much an influence as anyone on when things can be signed. | lavalmy
04/6/2020 09:49 | Seems it was a faulty gyrocompass. Interesting though. Thank you alter ego. | yumyum

02/6/2020 23:10 | just a reminder for this month; | hjb1
02/6/2020 13:30 | From the share options award it is obvious we are going to 75p a share. Two months, six months ....a year? RNS those signed contracts. Life is heading back to 'normal'. | yumyum
02/6/2020 08:11 | fft The LRIT system was initiated in 2006 by the IMO and covers broadly the same categories of boat as the Class A AIS grouping which came in before that. The key difference was that AIS was only seen as an anti-collison tool (and line of sight) whereas the LRIT has always been satellite-based. Pole Star operate Panana's system. CLS have fingers in the LRIT pie elsewhere. SRT have now shown that AIS can in fact operate as an LRIT device with the WCPFC approval (although that strictly is catch reporting etc) and do so on a fifteen minute reporting schedule. The LRIT standard is four a day. It is also a set of private systems with data only shared when a vessel from country A is heading towards country B. SRT can encrypt to maintain any privacy. | lavalmy
01/6/2020 17:26 | How does it continually monitor it's fleet of 8000 flagged ships worldwide ? It may create this new law but Panama is famous for lax enforcement and porkies. | fft
01/6/2020 07:11 | The Philippines lockdown has more or less ended. New milestones should begin to be reached and previous ones paid. | lavalmy
29/5/2020 12:34 | It would be absurd of they won that award in this year of non-achievement. | effortless cool
29/5/2020 12:28 | Thank you hjb1. SRT is quite unique. Let's get some contracts signed. Piedro....thank you....hmmm...that is a bit of a mystery. | yumyum
29/5/2020 12:20 | Looks more like a bit of a love-in. SRT's analyst at Finncap is up for an award too! | lavalmy
29/5/2020 12:12 | Hjb. Well spotted. The temptation is that the judges will promote the companies that they have invested in, which puts SRT At a disadvantage. Obviously somebody has recommended them to the shortlist. Even appearing on the shortlist raises company profile. At the end of the day it will be financial results that will raise desirability. | countryman5
29/5/2020 11:14 | award nomination, Technology company of the year. | hjb1
28/5/2020 14:40 | The last lot in 2016 were 50p,75p and £1.25, so this new lot at 75p,125p,150p and £2 would probably suggest that at least they think that the value and prospects have gone up since 2016, regardless of the equity issuance since then. The share price has been more often than not well below the 50p mark, sometimes markedly so. I note Tucker didn't get any. Probably as a quid pro quo for extending the lapsed options which he exercised after they had lapsed. Edit: In fact the weighted average vesting price has gone up from 83p to 137.5p, some 65%. My guess is that is around and about (on both occasions) where they thought they might be a few years out. | lavalmy
28/5/2020 14:36 | So unless I'm being more obtuse than usual, these options are worthless until the shareprice reaches at least 75p. As such, I'm happy to have the directors/officers being incentivised in a way that will reward shareholders too. This is much better than just granting nil cost options with no ifs and buts. | fredfishcake
28/5/2020 13:04 | I think the 200 target sounds fine ... 75- too low | pyman |
