This website helps
with lots of SRT overlap, from the 'man overboard' bit
to this :
hovering over the image shows it's KSA....
"Companies such as MARSS, and contracts such as this, demonstrate the ability to rapidly develop and implement complex integrated defence programs by smaller, agile companies, at a fraction of the cost and in half the time.”
This Q and A suggests lots of overlap with SRT
Project could be just sophisticated protection for MBS and key family.
PS Maybe the US Secret Service should check them out...?

To be honest, I’m still surprised the year end uodate(15 months) had so little detail.Gross revenue mentioned but nothing else of note. What’s your view Lav? |
I see they have hired the General Manager for Saudi, a Benjamin H.. I am still very intrigued by this role, more so now that I see that he was Head of Projects Middle East for an outfit called MARSS Group - I have come across them before but can't remember where - who are into critical assets monitoring and the like, based on IOT they claim. Intriguingly, MARSS has a managing director for the KSA as well. Is Benjamin's move a step upwards? If so, something more is afoot than merely phases 2 and 3.
No doubt this will be clarified soon. |
Could it be... a leak of another negative trading update about to hit the newswires? |
Probably an MS update error ;-/ |
Could it be...........? |
Quite a move on friday, with some volume behind it. |
SRT should move its domicile to the USA ? |
It would seem that potential suppliers to the PCG who could arrange a concessional financeing package would be in a good position regardless of the relative quality of their offering. And no doubt many defence contractors will be pitching for business in the AFP/PCG upgrade. |
I mean market update-the latest RNS just mentioned a headline turnover number which is meaningless |
In October "The Company intends to publish audited final results for the 15 months ended 30 June 2024 during October 2024" |
Are we expecting year end numbers? |
Would Bahrain warrant a program manager? I had the impression that they don’t intend a major project spend, just some upgrades. Might have got the wrong end of the stick though. |
Many new jobs advertised on website - of particular note are two program managers, one for Saudi Arabia and one for Asia. Contract signing must be soon (I hope!) |
‘Interesting, suspect, impression, potential’
What a siren you are CM |
It would be interesting to know how SRT and Ocean Infinity (OI) are working together. Clearly SRT has some very strategic Coast Guard contacts which will open doors for OI, especially in the Middle East. I get the impression that SRT has plenty of potential contracts on its plate, without looking for others. However, I suspect that autonomous surface and subsea options will be a requirement, going forward. If SRT can offer such a facility, that has to be a good bonus. |
Happy New Year to one and all. Looking forward to a first half including positive RNSs and the launch of Nexus which will significantly boost awareness of Emtrak and SRT. I liked ST's comment that SRT won't spend a fortune on direct promotion/advertising of Nexus - that will be done via worldwide agents and the trade press who will doubtless be keen to report the virtues of this game-changing technology. Glass definitely remains half full. GLA |
Saudi Arabia establishes logistics zone in Djibouti to expand economic presence in Africa. June 4th 2024 RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has signed a deal to establish a logistics zone in the port of Djibouti, leveraging Africa’s gateway to propel the Kingdom’s products and exports, fostering economic interplay. In February, Djibouti’s president reaffirmed his country’s dedication to promoting maritime security in the Red Sea. Ismail Omar Guelleh noted that the East African nation was collaborating with major powers, including Saudi Arabia, to ensure safe passage for international shipping in the Bab El-Mandeb and the Gulf of Aden. He emphasized that Djibouti’s strategic position made it a key player in facilitating global trade, mentioning cooperation with nations such as the US, France, the UK, and Red Sea coastal states, especially Saudi Arabia, in counterterrorism efforts and maritime security. |
Been away for a few days and out of touch but some great intel from our reliable sources which coincides with the share price rise. Im far from convinced this BB has the power to move the market so I'm guessing there are other well informed investors out there who can read the runes too. Thanks to all who make this a BB worth reading. |
yes, you're quite correct for once countryperson,,, you definitely aint seen nothing, would be nice for you lot to see something, anything for a change, instead of fund raises, promises and disappointments |
I was very surprised to see the Saudi Border Guard (SBG) placing a video on X for all of the World to see. Previously I understood SRT was not allowed to mention the ME country concerned. I can only conclude that MBS has seen the SRT system and is pleased with his investment. If you revisit the recent webcast (Vimeo.com 955837822) I believe that Mr T mentions a ME country which is in a hurry to spend $200 million on a system. This country must be very small compared with Saudi and yet they are talking about a very large budget. This would suggest that they are planning an all-inclusive system with top of the range (Italian?) radar and military grade CCTV. This might explain LAV’s mention of SRT hiring a civil engineer. Will existing towers be strong enough for all the extra weight? (I suspect that the next SRT hiring will be for more contract writers), When MBS sees what its neighbour is buying will he want the same? The eventual Saudi spend could be mind blowing. If it wants to cover everything including the Red Sea, Neom, Djibouti and possibly Egypt, where it underwrites the budget, it will be several barrels of oil. (Information / data means power). Perhaps MBS will want to buy SRT! As Ronald Reagan once said ‘You ain’t seen nothing yet’ |
It looks like they might soon be getting out of breath!
Yet another hire, this time for a civil engineer to make sure the towers don't fall down. So it seems that they are building central support roles for their various in-country partners (the sensor role is now no longer online so presumably it has been filled, although there were only three applicants) and on the customer side all these success managers whose job is to make sure their customers can make the most of what they have bought.
I get the feeling that they expect soon to have decent cash inflows to pay for all this.
It seems that there has been a buyer in the last couple of days who is buying with conviction and I doubt it has anything to do with my mention of the Indonesian success manager unless it someone on here. |
Saudi Arabia establishes logistics zone in Djibouti. The recent video from the Saudi Border guard shows how pleased they are with their recent SRT investment. The potential for future trade is enormous.(Don't forget DAS) Neom will eventually need maritime coverage as well as Djibouti.I am anticipating that SRT will be setting up an office in Saudi to deal with everything. |
