23/11/2017 15:58 | I stand corrected then, must listen more closely next time! Thanks for the feed-back. | astralvision
23/11/2017 15:53 | He did say two. | effortless cool
23/11/2017 13:58 | didn't ST say in the Paul Scott interview that there were two projects in ME? I assume KSA and Bahrain. Equipment has been supplied to Saudi so doesn't that make it active? | alter ego
23/11/2017 13:56 | They only have one project from the Middle East active, as far as I am aware. That is active as in running, not active as in doing pre contract work. | astralvision
23/11/2017 12:24 | Not sure but they still have projects on the go. | yump
23/11/2017 10:06 | Yes, but is that a milestone on an existing contract or a new still to be signed contract? But I accept the milestone payments can be substantial. | astralvision
23/11/2017 10:02 | In that interview there was a comment that one milestone could deliver a big lump of revenue in one go and that's just the way things are. Perhaps that's a hint as to why he's confident. | yump
23/11/2017 09:57 | Good interview with ST as per countryman's post link Even Paul Scott, who understandably is sceptical of SRT's promised performance, seems almost won over by ST's persuasive charm and straight answers to those tricky questions. The second half forecasts of some £12.1m strikes me as a massive ask, given the inherent uncertainty regarding contracts in the business model. But perhaps SRT only need one or two of those elusive contracts to come in and with four 'near term', is that the source of the confidence? Only just over 4 months to find out. Should be interesting if nothing else. Meanwhile share price keeps inching up, perhaps a sign that someone somewhere knows something? | astralvision
21/11/2017 22:14 | I see that in the interests of 'balanced argument' the doomsters are posting on the closed old thread. Must be a mistake surely, from such clever chappies ;-) Pull the other one. | yump
21/11/2017 21:17 | Further reductions in price of old class A with a further 50% off to sub £600? 21/11/2017 09:24 | If there are £60mln of contracts delivered over the next 3 years, then the eps will drive the share price to multiples of where it is now. All you have to do is put a few eps figures and ratings in, on a growing profit to see what sp's can reach once they get going. If anyone doesn't believe that contracts will never appear in multiple, then selling now is probably the best option, especially if 'if' is bouncing around in your head. The worst possible case for a portfolio is when a share which could deliver you large capital growth, is taken over. Because that is one of the ones you're relying on to compensate for the other losses and also-rans. | yump

21/11/2017 07:11 | Do you buy shares now (very few being traded) or wait for the contract news? PS. How will you vote on the takeover? | countryman5
20/11/2017 23:05 | Countryman5, Thank you for the link and much more informative than the webcast. News from Malaysia Gov't to make AIS installation on Class B fishing trawlers compulsory | piedro
20/11/2017 23:05 | Link spoiled by advfn who replace http with hxxp. If you post a link, putting hTTp at the beginning overcomes the spoiling tactic. Interesting discussion. ST very confident, says several projects in contract discussion stage now. | alter ego

19/11/2017 19:33 | EF Fair enough. Curious about how you order your priorities for investment... | yump

18/11/2017 17:54 | You did make yourself clear, I just think that you are totally wrong. | effortless cool
18/11/2017 17:50 | Perhaps I didn't make myself clear enough. If someone is worrying about working capital and cash, then they clearly don't trust management to manage the basics, in which case the rest of the investment case matters not a hoot and its a massive sell. I assume certain 'givens' in my investments and one of them is that management have the capability to manage working capital and cash, operate sound H&S practices, operate within employment law etc. etc. | yump
17/11/2017 17:33 | yump, I think that people who don't worry about working capital, cash, etc, shouldn't be invested. It doesn't matter how good the business prospects are, if the business runs out of money its other people that ultimately benefit. | effortless cool
17/11/2017 17:08 | fft That's mainly because I'm looking at the business prospects. I do think if people have a worry about working capital, cash etc. then they shouldn't be invested. It will either work out or not and that's dependent on the business progressing, not on the cash or wc position, which are secondary, unless anyone believes that element of risk will lead to failure. In which case, for them its a massive sell, as is any other business selling into these markets, that doesn't yet have enough traction to be generating sufficient cash flow to feed growth. | yump
17/11/2017 13:26 | anyone have a copy of the Finncap report? | integer
17/11/2017 12:07 | All quite messy, those accounts! I see that SRT Marine Systems PLC (LON:SRT)‘s stock had its corporate rating reaffirmed by equities research analysts at FinnCap in a report issued on Wednesday. So still 75p target. | yumyum |
