Annual lending growth slows in UK

Copyright: BANKOFENGLAND

The Bank of England has published data showing the annual growth rate of consumer credit continued to slow in June, falling to 5.5%.
It says annual growth has fallen steadily since its peak in late 2016, and particularly over the past year. Since July last year, the net flow has averaged £1bn per month, compared with £1.5bn per month in the year to June 2018.

Debsdowner does not mention his loss in EKT !!!.

But loves to post about others losing money .

Happy days debsdowner .

See you in front of Debenhams sometime , have your hat ready .

I think MA may have written his Debenhams loss in last years accounts but not sure maybe QANTAS can remember.

The loss was over £70 million from memory and my have been as much as £150 million. Google the question!

i shouldn't be shocked by the market any more but I am now. Basically no one is shorting this company so it hasn't dropped look what happened to Metro Bank the other day.

Market is bent

how much did he lose on the Debenhams deal? Exactly?

I am struggling to find a figure in the accounts..

Also is this figure accurate?

Didn't he have a derivatives position as well ?

Robot Take no notice of the pond life.

You may see from intraday chart share price is hammering up.

Sports Direct did not tell its auditors that it faced a £605m tax demand until the day it was due to release its annual results. Accountants at Grant Thornton were only informed of the claim for VAT and penalties from Belgian authorities early on Friday, according to well-placed sources. - The Daily Telegraph

robot ic1 - as you say, its a free speech board, so view all sides of the ball but come up with some facts not just "hammering up trash" when clearly the direction in down and until such time as SPD can come up with more solid facts, any holder or buyer is living in denial if they were to believe the stock will recover in the next few weeks.

Good Luck .
