29/7/2019 07:58 | If I have to chose between fat birds off the estate in tight lurid sports wear And baby polar bears My money is on the spandex | honestmarty
29/7/2019 07:56 | Ashley reminds me of another loud mouth bully who simply would not listen to reason and that's Robert Maxwell who's BPC went bust with creditors and pensioners losing their money. | solarno lopez
29/7/2019 07:56 | Imagine a world with no Sports Direct. Never mind Climate Crisis. | honestmarty
29/7/2019 07:47 | Always amazes me how some people seemingly are over the moon to see others lose their jobs and businesses go down the tubes just so they can make a couple of hundred on a short.Sports direct are very important to most town centres, without them you'd be close to ghost towns | ronwilkes123
29/7/2019 07:34 | buywell3 you did not, fact! | cautious7
29/7/2019 07:34 | FFS buywell, it's a discussion thread/website and SPD has been in the news. Just f off if you don't like us to discuss the delayed accounts etc!! | knigel
29/7/2019 07:29 | Not one of you posting here is fit to tie MA's shoe laces He will survive despite your negativity and obvious jealousness of his money. | buywell3

29/7/2019 07:22 | Thanks Debs-D I've put a limit buy in of below one pound and will monitor and review as required. Are there any more bombshells? I think we know the answer. Why did he not say anything about this in Wednesday RNS? Tesco had a blackhole of 200 million and was trading weel. SPD has a blackhole of at least 600+ million and trading is bleak. 29/7/2019 07:14 | Well didn't Trump make and lose his money twice? | knigel
29/7/2019 07:13 | buywel, Ma has achieved very little his empire is on a cliff edge! | debsdowner
29/7/2019 06:57 | Many posters here that have lambasted MA are just plain jealous of a guy that has made it. Kicking someone when he is down is not something buywell has ever done buywell notes that today times have changed it has become the norm as well as doing it with others helping. Even if things do go pear shape for MA and SPD … MA will still remain a very rich man indeed due to his hard work and risks taken to get him to where he is. You only live once, MA has achieved more thus far in his life than 99.9% of ALL ADVFN posters. | buywell3
29/7/2019 06:32 | What is the point of SPD being listed? | useless23
29/7/2019 06:26 | We'll see if there's any more fallout out today from Friday's shambolic performance from Sports Direct, when it failed to produce its results on time, having already delayed them once. When it did publish the results, there was an unexpected £605m tax bill from Belgian authorities. "This is amateur week... it is frankly a pathetic way to run a business," says Justin Urquhart Stewart, from Seven Investment Management. "Mike Ashley doesn't care about the City [investors] very much. As far as he is concerned he is used to running a business his way." House of Fraser, which Sports Direct bought a year ago, "is a mess and really needs sorting out", Mr Urquhart tells Wake Up To Money. | eggy6198
29/7/2019 00:07 | Hi Idot American Do they not have internt in "Africa"? itcm1 - good point re mr Maxwell and like you I too fear another massive black hole in SPD DYOR Regards C7 | cautious7
29/7/2019 00:03 | Is this a good buy or not ? Just returned from Africa and havent had chance to catch up on the latest.. Think I may buy some at 8am tomorrow. Hmmmmm....... | american idiot
28/7/2019 23:36 | Ashley rather reminds me of Robert Maxwell what with his web of over 250 companies and stweardship of a high profile much loved brand (not SD lol). I mean before Maxwell killed himself no one really questioned his finances, these larger than life personalities can keep the thing rolling for a lot longer than a more reserved person. I do feel there might be a black hole here too. Time will tell. | ltcm1
28/7/2019 22:37 | Read my post made at 21-54hrs place a limit order hoping to make a quick profit. The limit order is conservative just in case i sleep ove and will put in buy orders possibly aboe that. i expect shares to go lower than tomorrows lows by the end of the week at some point and may end lower or above the lows of tomorrow on Friday. worryingly, what other bad news is there and will suppliers tighten the the rope around this companies neck? DYOR GLA ATB DYOR Regards C7 - about to have a few more brandies. | cautious7
28/7/2019 22:33 | I seem to remember doing rather well out of that stock Bought them and they split EE off | ignoble
28/7/2019 22:30 | Hanson Brick.. Yup Lord Hanson was the Big Chief Owned Eastern Electricity, I seem to recall | ignoble
28/7/2019 22:25 | Remember Hanson? Just one of those companies that went on a buying spree but eventually sold or demerged most of their acquisitions. Sports Direct buying up companies in the same sector might make sense in the good times but not when the sector is in a dire state and most of the companies are basket cases | knigel
28/7/2019 22:04 | PS: There WILL BE BIG QUESTIONS REGARDIS THIS - SO WATCH THE SHARES GO BELLY UP. = AS ALWAYS, DYOR Question = how many people/etc bought more shares or bought shares on the back on that offical relase 48 hours before the bombshell??????????? XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX quote from the press: Sports Direct rallies as it says delayed results will meet guidance 24/07/2019 11:47 (Sharecast News) - Shares in Sports Direct surged on Wednesday after the retailer said that its delayed full-year results will be published on Friday and confirmed that they will be in line with the guidance it gave back in December. "The accounts and audit are at an advanced stage and the results are expected to be within the guidance issued by the company on 13 December 2018," the company said in a statement. | cautious7
