These things certainly help... This share more than any I know is all about sentiment. .

otherwise the incipient growth would be recognized in the share price

Talking of Next, PE currently 9, ex growth, but unlike SPD no governance issues, excellent BoD and decent business model.......so why should SPD be rated at a PE of 18!.......completely unrealistic IMO, no way should it be rated at twice that of NXT.DD

Buying back shares; Growing revenues (i know not profits at the moment ...but even Next are struggling with profitability at the moment); being expansionist and acquisitive.

This is a good company trading on a tiny multiple.

Once the MA 'noise' abates this will do well.

Could be in for a messy 30 mins. They might try a drive them down to 305 ish to get volume done.

That's a US seller today who's been rather aggressive. They'll probably lean on them until the order is executed . That's the way most State side orders work out there. The saying on Wall Street is "are you in the pool or out of the pool" and that's their trading philosophy and nothing in between .

Those stores must have infrastructure in place already for their online sales. Whether it's company owned or rented doesn't really matter. From the RNS. will provide Sports Direct with a footprint in US bricks-and-mortar retail and a platform from which to grow US on-line sales.

BTW I just noticed they're recruiting for a Spanish speaking HR position. It seems strange when they've only got two Spanish stores. Unless expansion is expected.

The two chains that they've bought both sell online already, so presumably the infrastructure is in place to handle this. The question is whether these stores will be rebranded to Sports Direct in the future. I expect they will be.

BoonboonSPD don't appear to have a warehouse in the US. That said their logistics provider may do?.They have only acquired retail space not warehousing according to this mornings RNS:"The businesses to be acquired include (following closures) approximately 50 retail stores in the US under the Bob's Stores and Eastern Mountain Stores fascias selling predominantly sports and casual wear, and outdoor and camping equipment and clothing."DD

That's the current delivery price and times on the US website as they currently ship from the UK.

BoonboonYou make a good point . You're previous post about delivery terms and prices, is that for the U.K. only or goes that include US delivery as well? Thanks

So quite off-putting. A local warehouse would reduce delivery times and cost.

I believe they ship from the UK though with long lead times and delivery costs. I could be wrong though.
