SPD in the Times today. I don't think it mentions SPD latest stake in Finish Line but worth a quick read.

Bitter and twisted Just because they wouldn't let him return his shell suit he's never forgiven them. Sorry it's Easter Sunday so I must be more tolerant .On a serious note some time ago a blogger did say that their wife had some involvement with SPD and it wasn't a pleasant experience and if that's the case I'm sorry for whoever posted it . Maybe DD posted that and if that's so then it's very unfortunate but that's someone personal experience. DD tries to tell us all about the working practices and the poor SPD employee but then slags of the company and wants to see them collapse and as a consequence putting the very people he's trying to protect, jobs at risk.....strange!!I bet you if they did fall back you'd be buying them to cover your short...sorry I just remembered you don't have a position . I reckon you'd buy them anyway.Sandown racecourse is just round the corner from me but I wouldn't bother entering the course unless I was going to bet.

Useless,Typical, cant defend your investment so those that post contrarian views must have personal issues with the Company......grow up!.Too many posters on here throw their teddy's in the corner and start getting personal when valid contrarian views and facts are posted up, especially the likes of Nortic who only wants positives posted up and General chit chat.Have said will not post up for a few months.........so all the best.DD

Ha...I access advfn via mobile and am out of the country at the moment so can't get access via my laptop to see which other shares you're writing about, hence my question, which was genuine. When I'm back in the UK i will ascertain. I've got a theory on why you're obsessed with SPD. You held the stock, you sold at a loss but you were unsure about your decision and so you want the company to fail/SP to fall further to justify your decision.

Nortic the ramper blows off yet again when cannot come up with anything other than the usual drivel.........just filter then if you can't handle it.Nobody on here seems to be able to handle any negative views at all.dean - complete nonsense, nit a theory at all just the usual confirmation bias.Yes I'm very positive about all I'm invested in thanks.......but if anybody posted up a contrarian view I wouldn't just dismiss it out of hand.See you all in a couple of months...............still be £3 here or less IMO.DD

Sorry I can't hold my silence anymore but DD is one of those people that sticks a chip on red for 12 times in succession and on the 13th spin comes up red and then says " I told you so" all the posters out there stop wasting your time talking to someone who's obviously got a chip on his shoulder bigger than Harry Ramsden. You have no financial interest in SPD long or short so can you kindly stop be a pain in the derrière .Stop being so one dimensional and find another chat room you offensive little man.

DD, it's not nonsense, you asked for reasons and I through out a theory. What stocks are you ever confident with as all I see is looking at how empty things are.

I'm think I've done well one minute and then SPD drops 10% and I'm telling the wife to cut down. A trader is only as good as his last trade :) I hear so many sad stories about tragic things that can hit people from out of the blue so makes you think that you should live life to the full. Sorry that's the red wind talking but it's true.

Glencore were last year apparently bust but I stuck with them for the simple reason that Mr Glasenburg had such a big interest in the company and so does MA regarding SPD and that's why I'm sticking with then.I'm at Wentworth at the moment and the wine is flowing so I'll stop my ranting ...... hopefully .

Just take a look at Brexit was that rational.....I don't think so. Nobody expected the market to do what it's done. Markets all do the opposite to what you thing should really do.You buy stocks like SPD for the recovery because they've hit rock bottom and the only way is up. It's about forward thinking . We all know SPD are cr@p at the moment but it's all about the future.

Since when was the market rational? Since when did the market look for true value? Whether or not SPD really is cheap, it is perceived to be cheap and when the Ftse go down, as it will at some point, this and other 'value' plays will rise.
