25/2/2017 13:32 | Sales in the year to 28 March 2015, the last for which accounts are available, rose 16% to £61.7m, but pre-tax profits fell by more than a quarter to £4.6m.I'm sure he can add value although on the surface this doesn't seem an ideal fit. Swimwear and sports bras etc obviously have a strategic fit but no doubt he can use the brand to develop a range of upmarket sporrswear. This could affect the brands image and core niche market but it may be more profitable to exploit the brand than to maintain it. | terminated
25/2/2017 10:22 | Hi all, MA is reported in today's press as being interested in acquiring the Agent Provocateur lingerie line.... gives a whole new meaning to sport strip, I suppose ;-> ATB | extrader
25/2/2017 02:53 | It's clearly not up and away. It is also clearly being held up. but would Mr ego buy shares in his company at a price he expects to be significantly lower after the buy back cash has run out. This is not a normal company, and I agree with the previous poster, MA does not give two figs about shareholders. BUT he cares about himself and his net worth.Do I invest in his integrity, do I invest in his concern for shareholders. Hell no. I invest in his ego and his greed and right now he is hurting. That's the only reason I hold. | terminated

24/2/2017 09:47 | As of today still approx 20 mill shares to be repurchased by SPD to reach their stated target of 86,324,793 (at the current rate, assuming the share price remains under £3, this will take 35-40 trading days). Then what? From their announcement: The Programme will be conducted within certain pre-set parameters, and in compliance with the relevant conditions for trading, restrictions regarding time and volume, disclosure and reporting obligations, and price conditions. The shares repurchased by the Company will be held in treasury pending cancellation or re-issue. | frogy

23/2/2017 13:23 | I like to think of Buffett's quote "the stock market is a device for transferring money from the impatient to the patient." It's normally around the time I'm kicking myself for doing something rash. | stokiematt
23/2/2017 12:52 | Should go well for you sir. | nortic 007

22/2/2017 19:30 | Surely without SPD buying its own shares, they would fall back to a point where they could buy 5 - 10% cheaper. Are buybacks allowed under insider trading rules if delicate information causes the share price to rocket, lol. | swampydrill
22/2/2017 17:36 | If trading was bad, MA would have released an update prior to buying all the millions of shares over the last few weeks. I reckon they've been doing a roaring trade, MA getting them cheap, release the good news and £4 here we come. Big Mikes got his shares tucked away at £3. If he wants to buy more shares after this buyback, he'll just buy another jet, that'll have the institutions up in arms which ought to be good for a 10-20% slide in the share price Big Mike knows what he's doing, but he doesnt give 2 hoots about the shareholders. IMO DYOR WTFDIK LOL etc etc. | catsneck2
22/2/2017 11:41 | Interim Management Statement RNS, except last year when a Trading Update was released in Jan due to the poor Christmas, is normally around 20th Feb. I'm guessing there is no requirement to publish one? What are the chances it'll be published once the buyback has completed? A good statement maybe just the trigger to move the share price above 300p and towards 400p. | stokiematt
22/2/2017 10:57 | What a boring stock (today), no bouncy bouncy ;) | the_equaliser
