they also mentioned
PE of 15 is the average of the sector, where SPI is only half of that figure
if the company make EPS of 6p(lower boundary), then 6*15 should be 90p!

I don't understand that,either.
but I think, if they do that, we would see RNS and the company may know their intention.

I dont understand that !

If i was going to offer 56p on a stock that was trading around 30p i would
build up as big as position first as cheap as possible, so they all say Cinven
never stood a chance at that price so why didnt they buy up first that large
overhang around 29p and keep buying all the way upto that price they have offered, bet they would have 20-30% by now and at a average below 40p !!!

Qip

They are not short positions. They are holdings that have to be declared as part of rule 8 of the takeover disclosure.

"New disclosure requirements: Rule 8.3
of the Code has been amended to provide
that during an "offer period", persons
"interested" in 1% or more of any class of
"relevant securities" of an offeree company
or, unless the offer is solely cash, an
offeror company must publicly disclose
their "dealings" in any relevant securities
of that company."

Having a look there was a uncrossing trade of 186k at 51p after the
close qip, maybe that trade was in the system and knocked out all
the buy orders at higher prices to fill that sale late on.

Jab.

2 bargain stocks to look at, Mubl and Nbi, both on very low Per and
cash generative and good yields.

good for those in at 30p, not good for those in from much higher up (i sold mine for about 115p a few years ago).

Looks opportunistic from Cinven, SOME parts of this business are superb.

I'm of course thinking of the Revenue Assurance business they acquired from RAS.

Shareholders ought to tell 'em to stick it....but will they?

ello m8 looked like you got out a wee bit early, yes I agree m8 far to low, however we are in a recession.

Hoping for at least or nearly double that I reckon, could get very interesting, at least getting a bid, shows there's good value for greater future potential ;-)

56p is too low.

The price was always going to hit and pass that anyway at some point.

Interesting that Cinven is announcing it to the market and not SPI. I think Cinven is hoping that some of the larger shareholders will put pressure on the directors to at least talk. Opening bid of 56, deal can possibly be done at 60-65p, although lots of institutional shareholders are sitting on shares bought at 102p placing in 1998.
