14/12/2017 17:40 | I will have a pint on it with you Tilly. I am confident they will "beat" the revised expectations set in October, which still looked prudent even after the Upgrade. I am sure we will meet again at a Spectra event where one of us can collect our winnings! | simso
14/12/2017 17:00 | XajorkBut we only just beat so I would say it's near on impossibleHappy to have a five pound wager!Would love to lose!! | tilly99
14/12/2017 16:19 | Re post 1683 Tilly: As simso previously mentioned, they issued an in line AGM statement last December - followed only a few weeks later by a "significantly ahead" update in January. Every possibility they could do the same again based on previous guidance. Agree a share buy back would help things here. | xajorkith
14/12/2017 16:09 | Love to know where this has been mentioned as 12 separate buy orders is abnormal here | tilly99
14/12/2017 16:06 | Agreed Sim every prosponed general meeting has had the same trading update included. | sonofbanjosinger
14/12/2017 16:00 | Email sent Actually copied and pasted so all credit to you simso!Lots of small buyers today So either a leak that the line has been placed or tipped..hopefully the former!! | tilly99
14/12/2017 15:59 | If there was a good chance of another beat would we have mentioned we are in line at the agm? | tilly99
14/12/2017 15:34 | Tilly, that would be good if you suggest to Nabil. I think it makes sense in the current situation. In terms of Trading Update, we did have one this year on 4th Jan to confirm "significantly ahead", so hopefully the same again. The last update was in mid Oct, and WHI upgraded their Forecasts, but I still believe they are too conservative. | simso
14/12/2017 15:19 | We just had an update so can't see another one coming in Jan | tilly99
14/12/2017 15:17 | Good idea I will suggest it to Nabil!! | tilly99
14/12/2017 15:14 | Tilly, yes thats what Volvere did, and with a specific structure where all shareholders could tender their shares in a specific two day period. Volvere bought back 10% of the shares, but as the vast majority of holders held... the weak holder was actually able to sell most of his in the process. | simso
14/12/2017 15:12 | Last year there was a trading update on the 4th Jan. The year before it was Feb. On the basis that good new is always published quicker, lets hope it is January. Re. buying shares, if the cash pile does increase by many millions, a direct share buyback by approaching the big seller could be a good option. If the seller then gets greedy and asks for too much, a solution as proposed by Simso could force the seller to accept the given price or face having to wait for a substantial time before they sell out. Not sure how either solution works for the seller given SPSY's incorporation in Delaware in the USA. | fft
14/12/2017 14:44 | So basically a buy back of stock? | tilly99
14/12/2017 11:59 | Here's an idea which could kill a few birds with one stone. As I have posted before, I do believe SPSY will deliver EBITDA $5m to Dec 17, and close the year with a cash balance of $11m - $12m. In March 17 SPSY said that a target $5m Cash Balance was sufficient for its needs. However, with such a big seller in the background, it is possible that even when the "significantly ahead" statement I expect in early Jan will not give the share price the boost we deserve. One solution could be for SPSY to use some cash in the same way that another of my large holdings did recently. Volvere used £3.5m of its cash resources in an offer to all shareholders to buy back shares at current market price. The majority of us delined to sell, and saw our % holdings slightly increase, while one large weak holder had the chance to substantially reduce. THis could be a great route for SPSY to take. It could clear that big seller and am sure the shares would bounce significantly when he is out. It would deploy some of the large cash pile in a tax efficient way for all of us. The alterntaive dividend route does attract that annoying Witholding Tax. Thoughts? | simso
14/12/2017 10:57 | Hasn't even tried to get a quorum I voted but not cos anyone asked me to!! | tilly99
14/12/2017 10:56 | Tipped?Nabil doesn't seem to be doing anything to try to get rid of this 5m share seller No pr nothing ..shame | tilly99
11/12/2017 07:52 | I don't recall an AGM in the last 5 years. Maybe longer. Terrible corporate governance, but it is very much a one man company (Nabil). So take it or leave it. When the share price wasn't doing anything, it was harder to take, but at the moment it doesn't seem a good idea to rock the boat. | fft |
