fwiw i think numbers are still being low balled and think another materially ahead announcement is likely. Next years numbers will likely also go up at some point. Nabil is in under promise over deliver mode at present. I did expect a bit of a pull back from above £1 but it was pretty harsh. I guess the large seller still around and so holding back today's recovery as well. Surprised SPSY hasn't really garnered much wider interest yet.

Spectra Systems Corporation, a leader in machine-readable high speed banknote authentication and brand protection technologies, today announces that it has been informed by its covert authentication technology licensee, that royalties based on finished printed notes will reach a record level in 2017. As a result, Spectra expects that its profits for the year ending 31 December 2017 will significantly exceed market expectations.



Dr. Nabil Lawandy, Chief Executive Officer, stated: "We are delighted to have received news from our licensee for covert materials supplied to 18 central banks that the royalty component of the agreement will as a result reach a record annual high in 2017. Typically the final royalty, determined by the number of printed notes containing our materials, is not available until year end. This year, we have visibility that it is already significantly above expectations for the full year. Based on our licensee's projections for material purchases, we expect the royalties to be somewhat higher than average next year although not necessarily at these record levels."

Plenty of poor companies out there with great websites, so I suppose it works both ways.

Could be a lot better but it's the products that matter imv.

Agree with that - it has really not had attention since they floated and does show the background of the company - Nabil is an academic and I suspect they have no real marketing resource at the Company. When you compare it to others in the sector - OPSEC and Authentix for example it shows them up a bit - Not an issue for central banks but the more brand based potential customers might find it off putting. It looks though as the Chinese tobacco companies are not bothered which is the main driver of the share price short term

Why not spend a tiny fraction of the cash pile on something smart and confident??

It's really off-putting for someone looking to invest...
