If you’re looking for a sign on what gold investors are expecting from this week’s Federal Reserve meeting, look no further than open interest.

The measure, which tallies total contracts outstanding, shows traders are holding more gold futures than at any time since November 2012. Government data indicates that over the past five weeks long positions have surged while short wagers have slumped. That means the jump in open interest shows that investors are getting ready for a rally.

But at these prices? I'm nervous like everyone else but I'm also human and wouldn't want us to raise money at the cost of dilution. Crumbs, they can probably borrow 100-200k if needed just from major shareholders.

Flávio, as much I share your feelings what baffles mexis why set a deadline in the 1st place? Not necessary at all.

Many directors are running companies in this way without salaries.

Major mining company involved. Yes but they know they can drag this out. They know SNA don't have cash. Best thing SMA cab do is raise money and stick it in the bank. That's insurance going forward.

As far as I am concerned ..... still VERY positive on an outcome of a JV in the next week or so. The rules are clear, SMA cannot continue to extend the "Exclusivity Period" after it has already done so once as this will mislead the market. SMA had a very short extended Exclusivity Period and expected to complete the JV agreement in that time, talks continue and I expect a positive outcome shortly....

We have governments and a Major mining company involved...patients will be rewarded.

We have to remember, David Pearl has had NO SALARY from SMA from day one. He will want a good deal for himself and for his friend that invested. His interests and ours....are aligned.

The Directors believe that this gives the Company an unusual advantage compared with other small exploration companies in that it has been able to acquire five early stage substantial and highly prospective gold properties, covering a total of around 3,600 square kilometres, any of which could, in the Directors' opinion, become a significant gold asset. The Company also has one diamond Exploration Permit in Guinea covering approximately 500 square kilometres.
