27/4/2018 13:47 | "Schlumberger, Moroccan govt, Majors in neighbouring sectors. They probably know more than you." Maybe, we'll see. But do bear this in mind that Sound got these assets from Fastnet for a trivial sum, and have talked them up ever since. And to my mind, the only thing they've done is drill, frac and do a long term test on a horizontal. And no buyer has rushed in yet, and although the deal with Schlumberger has undoubtedly been a good one (for Sound shareholders), Schlumberger will have had rigs/seismic crew doing nothing during the downturn, and the marginal cost of employing them will have been relatively modest. Shell/Repsols interest in the neighbouring block (which is huge) is interesting, I would be interested to know what play they're targetting but my feeling is, it won't benefit Sound shareholders. | frazboy

27/4/2018 13:26 | I have quite a large holding and tried to sell 12000 Wed. Was told it would have to be routed to a dealer. I emailed my broker and said that size deal should not be a problem for an auto trade. I believe news was already available that day and the share price would be down the following day so the sells were restricted. Shafted !!! Why didn't JP hold till the GSA was signed and got more. What exactly did they do in 2017 for an incentive scheme? | ziblot
27/4/2018 13:25 | Schlumberger, Moroccan govt, Majors in neighbouring sectors. They probably know more than you. | blocker2
27/4/2018 13:03 | The problem is that this is more of an unconventional play, relatively tight sands, in North Africa, requiring expensive extraction techniques, with relatively rapid decline and long production tails. It ain't economic. | frazboy
27/4/2018 13:00 | Correct. This is pretty basic investing. If you think SOU has a fraction of that gas over that acreage it is probably worth more than the current share price | blocker2
27/4/2018 12:55 | hello, last thing i read 2 years ago, sound estimated 31 tcf of gas, is that still on.!!! it was something about the size of Belgium, was that all nonsense | nocrapversion4

27/4/2018 11:43 | This greed is one if the reasons Britain is going to the dogs. Very disappointing for Sound shareholders. | luckygit

27/4/2018 11:02 | From LSE the purported e-mail from JP. Very strange timing and he is not participating in the LTIP. The knock on effect to the share price was obviously going to be very negative! What is going on behind the scenes? I am just finished with my meetings in Rabat. Thanks for your email. In a busy company like Sound there are actually very few opportunities to trade as a director and this morning CPR announcement opened such a window before the three wells kick off and we have more or less a year of constant stream of news. I don’t see the CPR as bad news at all – infact it confirmed roughly what we had expected and said publicly. I am no expert but frankly I don’t think it as correct to see the CPR has having a big market impact. Having released the CPR announcement at 0700 I was finally able to sign the trading plan once markets had opened and that kicked off the first trade which the broker spent most of the day working and to be honest is probably the reason for the weak market (not the other way around). This was then announced when the trade was complete at the end of the day. I appreciate of course that no shareholder likes to see their CEO selling any shares however I remain hugely incentivised for success and my equity position in Sound is still my largest asset in the world by a long long way, and I would have it no other way. So I have tried to take a responsible and mature management approach to my equity position which has built up over the years and will continue to build in the next 12 months. As the announcement also says I elected not to participate in the recently introduced RSU programme. Best regards, James | midasx
