02/3/2018 13:54 | Because of the increase in cyber-crime, the profitability could come earlier than 2020 and that could fire up the share price as it will be better than expected. SOPH business generates a lot of cash and is signing more and more clients, thus why IMO, profitability will be announced earlier than expected. | fuji99
02/3/2018 13:19 | I think it's forcast for 2020 | discojames
02/3/2018 13:01 | h & dj Thank you. When do they think they will turn in a profit? | srpactive
02/3/2018 12:46 | By next week it could re-visit 550p. Then any news related to contracts or even cyber intrusion/attacks will take it to pre-results level of 600p+. This came all the way from 650p losing almost 30%. IMO it was overdone. | fuji99
02/3/2018 12:32 | Some are realising it was oversold and pretty cheap considering its segment and the defensive sector it is operating in while the Cyber Security business is accelerating and growing 10 fold all over the world. I only hope it will not be taken over at cheap price - say below £10. | fuji99
02/3/2018 11:51 | Yes you're right -0.10 Diluted Normalized EPS = -0.058 | hawaly
02/3/2018 11:12 | Eps was -0.10 last year wasn't it? | discojames
02/3/2018 10:58 | EPS Normalised = -$0.058 PER (f) = 60.8 Operating Profit = -$44.3m | hawaly
02/3/2018 09:50 | f Fair point, what is the eps, pe and profits here? | srpactive
02/3/2018 08:56 | It should be the miners that should be hit by Trump 25% on Steel and 10% on Aluminium tariffs. Internet Security Sector is really insulated against any cyclical or regional news. In fact this should be the only sector prospering under any market turbulence related to oil, war etc. | fuji99
01/3/2018 14:27 | I do not hold here, but I used to hold retail decisions rtd. | srpactive
01/3/2018 13:27 | On a serious note: I am a great believer this stock will hit £10 within 2 years and probably before that - That is if not taken over. This is a heavy defensive company with services needed in all economic cycles, to hold for at least 2/3 years. When its turnover hits £1 billion within two years, the share price could be flying over £10+. | fuji99
01/3/2018 13:10 | hxxps://www.tradingv | discojames
01/3/2018 13:05 | Yes - I'd be a buyer @ £2 as well. | hawaly
01/3/2018 12:53 | £2 would be great. I will triple my holding. | fuji99
01/3/2018 12:43 | Some around 450 | hawaly
01/3/2018 12:00 | £4 would be support | tsmith2
01/3/2018 11:41 | The share price is also strongly driven by news on Cyber attacks around the world and by any software innovation regarding protection from intrusion, fire walls etc. If say, a serious attack on an institution is made public in the news, all the companies in the cyber segment are positively affected with strong share price rise. I would add one important thing: This is the only tech sector not affected by cyclical growth or trend such as for example mobiles phones, microchips, oil etc. With internet security, it is an obligation by law that companies get protected as it is similar to an insurance for any losses incurred following a serious attack. | fuji99
01/3/2018 10:45 | There is no real news for Sophos at the moment so a drift downwards is understandable as some investors think their money is worth more elsewhere, in the short term at the very least. This price may do nothing but drift slowly downwards until the May results | discojames
01/3/2018 10:31 | graph not looking brilliant | tsmith2
28/2/2018 12:25 | Cyber-crimes from Bitcoin to bank and institutions intrusions have increased 10 fold this year alone. I doubt SOPH will remain hoovering around £5. I can see the share price easily going over £6 in just a few weeks. As the only sound security company left in the UK, a possible bid approach from the big software houses in the US is not ruled out this year. | fuji99
27/2/2018 11:57 | Its gone through it now, time to tumble | discojames
27/2/2018 09:46 | Good resistance at 500p. | fuji99
22/2/2018 19:58 | Ok, thanks for you explanation. And what do you read from this? Increase to...? Or decrease to....? | g9791
22/2/2018 19:40 | It's worked down in the morning, held down and then a buyer takes up slack in the afternoon. Thinks stock being accumulated | tsmith2 |
